If this is the case it would be because he has been told not to. These guys are very closely monitored and there would be a reason behind it. Besides, most of the squad bulked up prior to pre season traing and most are gradually dropping back to their regular playing sizes. I have been to two training sessions and consider that The Impaler has been training very well and is committed to the club and to getting back in the team. He was an A grade footballer and I believe that he will regain his confidence and play for WCE this year.
Maybe in the forward pocket.

I love Emac but I'm struggling to see where a leaned down Emac fits into the structure. He has never really shown the footskills or dash to play a rebounding role. McGovern at least has an elite kick to go with his intercept marking. Schoey had to bulk up markedly to fill the role that Eric had been playing prior to his injury.

What role do you see Emac filling? I'm all ears to see where he can fit in as he has been a great servant of the club.

One thing I forgot to mention above was that easy has never been a huge player and like glass he was very strong for his size and could go with the biggest of kpfs in a wrestle but was also quick and agile to match buddy toe to toe. Since his ACL he would have lost a fair chunck of his agility, so the wise thing is to probably get him to carry less weight than during his prime. That picture above looks a tad decieving but having huge arms is not as important for a kpd as the strength they need is from the legs/bum and a tad from back and chest. Because of his ACL injury they got him to cut back his lower body work and it was noticible at times. However, he was still strong enough to beat cloke in many wrestles as well as a few other big big blokes. Easy just has to concentrate on getting used to playing our style of footy and on his footskills.

Spot on. I just don't think Mackenzie fits into our existing backline as well as Schofield.

Schofield is the opposite of easy tho. Easy pre injury was strong enough to wrestle the monster kpd's, but Schofieldfor his size is not as strong and gets moved off the ball or out manoeuvred quite frequently. As long as as emac has added strength in his legs, he should be fine to take most forwards now days.

My issue no longer is strength but his ability to adapt to our style and his disposal by foot.

I like Sexual and Gov as genuine talls.. lets make Yeo the 3rd tall, add in my boy Shep and thats a really nice mix even Wellingham in 2015 seemed to relish playing on bigger opponents.
Not sure Gov is a good enough to actually play second tall. He improved further last year cause barrass/emac and Schofield had the best two forwards. To me Gov seems to be an oversized Hurn. If Gov is able to rack a bit more the ball he would be a weapon as he as close to damaging with ball in hand as guys like Hurn, Brodie Smith and etc.

Prior to his injury his footskills had improved significantly compared to his earlier years .... he had learnt his limitations and played within them. His long kicking to position was good ...... it was generally when he went short that he stuffed up.
Cannot agree on lack of dash .... he would be one of the fastest runners in the club.
He is still strong and this will be his second year back after the knee injury. Most players who suffer knee injuries take up to 24 months to fully recover. I see him playing FB on the likes of Hogan, Cameron, Walker etc.. releasing Gov to play CHF enabling Jack to be the third tall to which he is better suited.

Did you not rate his 2015? He was literally forced to be the 2nd tall.

Nah the forwardli e would be too tall then. Surely Vardy/Petrie plays as a back up ruck and having 4 guys around the 195cm mark(yes I know JD is 191cm but he plays like someone that size) would be a liability.
