He is a player who has talent but is also very smart and knows what to do. He always jumps at a contest to bring the ball to ground if he can't mark it, something a lot of players don't do any more. He knows his strengths and weaknesses and plays to them.

I'm hoping that he somehow torches North round 1 and Brad Scott gets hounded with questions about Petrie. Would make it the best Brad Scott Week EVER. EVER and EVER EVER.
That would actually make recruiting him worth it even if he does nothing else for the rest of the season

Petrie was very vocal in the hitting the ball on the ground at pace drill. It was good to see him as a genuine leader. And his general skill tells me he is not cooked. A few (me included) might need to eat humble pie on our rookie pick.
I won't want to, but if he kills it, I'll eat the whole bloody thing.
