Can't imagine Jimmy (Van Es) would be an option we would consider. Adrian Cole more likely if Dougs goes on the LTI list which he probably won't.
Tomlinson is still very keen to get on a list and has kept in training in the event something comes up

He's still one of only 3 proven key defenders on the list. Massive hole with no one particularly ideal to fill it.

I cant remember the club ever commencing a year without major injuries and a full list of senior players available? Its obvious that is a pipe dream and is unlikely to ever occur.

I suppose the main question is it acheivable or even a requirement to win a flag? I think any coach would love to have the entire senior list available for the majority of the season, but that rarely occurs.

Brisbane last season are the classic example of a really deep and quality list. They lost 5 x players to ACL's (4 of their starting 23) and their ruckman didnt make the GF and they still won a flag...

We just need the list depth to be able to cope with these hits, which we havent had for what seems like an eternity. Its evident you only have to have a few bad years at the trade/draft tables and the club are filling gaps for ever and a day.

What about Sharman helping out down back? Reads the ball well, tough, aerially imposing, spoils strongly, has played down back before. But only 193cm

I think this would be a great option.

Good team man and works hard. Fills the role- allows us to get Howard surgery and get him properly right.

Unfortunately more bad news, I saw Pou today on crutches… this is a disaster

So… alongside The Metronome (Wilkie), we’ve now got…

Barrat (194cm) - Absolute behemoth of a man-child. Ready body. Can play both ends. Might be too steep a learning curve.

Cordy (195cm) - Runs like a winded double-amputee, but has experience and is a mature body.

Caminiti (196cm) - Big, oddly athletic, and has a healthy dose of mongrel. Very much untried as a KPD.

Keeler (198cm) - Had some experience down back for Sandy, but seems to be training in his natural position as a key forward.

Not ideal.
If desperate, Sharman could also play KPD and we go smaller forward and / or rotate Marshall forward, with Wood, Owen's, King. Boyd in the ruck

Some pretty good flexibility, definitely don't need any other keys injured tho...

Not long ago there were many on here wanted to delist Howard.
Now he is our most important player?

Couldn’t understand that.
May not be a superstar but His importance in our backline is understated.
