Yep, and he'd been wearing a moon boot after every match for the previous 10 weeks.Lachie Neale tore his plantar fasciitis in the grand final and didn’t require surgery??
They'll put him in an anti-gravity treadmill and gradually increase the weight.Hopefully. But again, we just don't know. Like Michell, It can flare up and get worse. But Nick, being younger, might help his cause.
We just have to wait and see. He won't be able to run, probably will take some time off legs and hope the pain subsides, then try to attempt running if he is pain free.
But these things are unpredictable.
Really not ideal. I hope it’s super mild and everything goes smoothly. He’s one player we can’t have missing games. Fingers crossed.Hopefully. But again, we just don't know. Like Michell, It can flare up and get worse. But Nick, being younger, might help his cause.

While you wouldn't want him or anyone missing games, I think we have a deeper squad to cover for more injuries. You don't want to be carlton and rely on a player or two. Injuries happen in sport.Really not ideal. I hope it’s super mild and everything goes smoothly. He’s one player we can’t have missing games. Fingers crossed.
Support thongs? That's an oxymoron surely. They're the ones I wear - Axign also make arch support thongs, also good.
He had knee issues which is why he moved to the forward pocket.I have this mad feeling that Peter may have had this plantar injury and it was the first time I had ever heard of it. It was said to be career threatening at the time.
Are you thinking of the American term?Support thongs? That's an oxymoron surely.
Nick is even more important. I wouldn't play him until 2030 when he should be at his peak - too risky. Maybe in a Grand Final. Maybe
Again, is there any statement from the club?Hopefully. But again, we just don't know. Like Michell, It can flare up and get worse. But Nick, being younger, might help his cause.

Good plan. Get the senior guys cherry ripe for the off season in September. Now you're getting the idea. I personally would rest everyone over 25 until the last month of the season. TJ, Finn, etc -- just play them!
I call my Archies my hiking thongs.Support thongs? That's an oxymoron surely.
Typically a 4 week injury. Ongoing PF is typically the exception not the norm. How is this possible
The new year has barely started and we already have:
- Nick with an injury that will hamper his season
Possibly, but we don’t want to be relying on Mitchell at this point anyway- Mitchell with an injury that will hamper his season
Still recovering from last year, so I’m not sure why you’re acting in a “how does this happen” manner on that one.- De Goey carrying an injury that looks likely to hamper his season
Have you considered that the 3 outside of Jordy might have overdone things themselves? It’s easy to blame the fitness staff but you have 3 guys who are known to be exceptionally hard trainers who have gained injuries after off season “breaks”. Perhaps they weren’t resting as much as they should have been over those breaks..?- Josh with a calf
Literally 4 of our most important players already compromised. Like…what’s going on down there. These aren’t “freak accident” type injuries like McStay’s finger or ACL. This has to be load/management stuff
They just don’t cut it.
I’ve worn orthotics for 20 years after my issues.
They need be held tight to your foot.
I don’t wear any thongs, sandles or even elastic sided boots. Hate walking barefoot and I have very sensitive souls now.
Merrel water shoes have been very good, but they’re ugly.
Hopefully. But again, we just don't know. Like Michell, It can flare up and get worse. But Nick, being younger, might help his cause.

I’ll die happy after 2022-2023. Best 2 years a supporter could ask for when it comes to quality viewingBetween all the injuries and close finishes, Collingwood has taken more years off my life than cigarettes.
This. Imagine following up one of the most fun seasons as a supporter to winning the flag.I’ll die happy after 2022-2023. Best 2 years a supporter could ask for when it comes to quality viewing
100%. I was pretty much nonplussed last year in a way. Back to back would have been awesome but we never really had any momentum all season. The pride they showed in the last month gives me confidence the naysayers that spew the “too old, too slow” dribble might be dumber than Luke Sayers. I’d rather a few injuries in early January than early March. We’ll be fine. I’m pumped to see Houston spearing missiles to a choice of KPFs with Bobby and co at their feetThis. My mates don’t believe me when I say the 2024 season didn’t bother me but it honestly didn’t.
He definitely had the foot problem too and it almost saw him traded out of Collingwood. He had knee issues which is why he moved to the forward pocket.
