I'm sure the senior players ARE training, they just aren't doing it in a big group under the supervision of the coaches and together with the 1st-4th year players. But they will have individual programs that have been designed for them by the performance staff etc. And they'll be checking in with people from the club as need be. I think we can trust them to do the right thing - they're pretty reliable if you ask me. Most of them are in town and around, and a few them will be out of town training solo wherever they are.

I have no problem at all with the senior players but I agree that the Swans media team give us less than most other clubs do, including the Giants, and it's disappointing. I'd love to see some video segments that are compered by one or more players.

A lot of the time they're doing better with media for the AFLW team, which is at least something.

Great stuff.

Goes to show the club has a plan for the older boys. They're not going to be there doing training that's different to the younger ones unless that's how the club wants it. If they wanted to take their foot off the gas, they wouldn't be audacious enough to show their faces around the club at this point.

And credit to the much-maligned media team for showing us the senior boys are there whilst still making the younger boys the focus. This is their time and there will be plenty of chances to see the rest in action throughout the next 6-12 months.

He has stuffed it up two years in a row so I have zero faith in him. Having said that, I will be delighted if he gets it together and has a great year. I hate seeing people fail.

Drafting Green may just be the kick up the you know what he needs

If bringing in Grundy and Green isn't, then he is beyond redemption.
I have hope but not high expectations.

Pretty same thoughts to you, but we hope this is what he needs

Corey getting some guns...nice
I am quietly confident about him. He is a footballer. His instincts are tuned to the game like his brother. He must have had some duels with his brothers. He must be motivated by his brother. This is his third preseason. Usually it takes 3 preseasons before a player is locked and loaded. Looking forward to seeing him play this year.

Big Footy:Where are the pics from training? Our media department is crap!

Swans: Here are 27 pics we took at training for you

Big Footy: Why didn't you put captions on all of them? Our media department is crap!
Given the second BF is me I'll stick my hand up. Why do half the job? The pics are so much more interesting with decent captions. It was great to get some of Phil's 300+ pics though.

Can't believe people are expecting a firehose of off-season content about literally nothing happening. I'd rather watch paint dry.

But if you're really keen this is every off-season story ever:

Interstate recruit: Great to be here. The boys have really got around me. The Swans culture is great. Sydney is a great place to live. Training facilities are great. Can’t wait to get to work with midfield back six forwards coaches rehab team. [Translation: This can’t be any worse than my last club]

Draftee: Getting drafted was surreal. Can’t believe I’m running out with Buddy Papley Rampe Errol Jake Lloyd. The boys have been great. I’m sharing a house with [player names] and they’re looking after me. I’m learning a lot of life skills, like cooking, cleaning, GTA V [Translation: With my ATAR I was heading for career in shopping mall security]

Random player: Had a good break but it’s great to be back with the boys. Last year was disappointing, we’ve got a lot of work to do. I’ve fully recovered from my syndesmosis hamstring pinched sciatica decapitation dog bite and can’t wait to get out on the track. [Translation: Lucky not to get cut this year]
