Off to the airport soon, it will take a hell of a finish/result to top the last 2 weeks, threw my 15 year old grandson in the air(only managed a few inches off the ground) on the final siren against the Tigers and was hugging strangers on the final siren against the Demons.... where do I go to from there.

Intensity and pressure is the key as per usual, come on boys lets keep this glorious ride going, these opportunities can be rare.

My tip > Another cliff hanger with Cam Rayner slotting a set shot from 40 meters in the pocket after the siren for a 1 point win.

I think we are going to do what Cats did to us in 2020 prelim. Players have found a few extra gears at the right time, confidence is high and cats are vulnerable.

Hi diehards. Who’s playing tonight? I crawled back into my shell after r23 catastrophe and blocked out all AFL men’s news. I mean, what’s the point? Melbourne is so vastly superior to anyone else, other teams may as well forfeit. Tigers looking good and will make prelim at least. The rebuild will be long but necessary. At least we’ve got Ashcroft coming in so it’s not all doom and gloom. Let’s face it, this year we never looked like a team that’d go deep in September and the dees really exposed our deficiencies in the final round. Embarrassingly so. Andrews , Hipwood and Berry in particular really need to step up. They’re just not finals worthy. Oh well, at least the women are going well. Tayla Harris suspension a huge gift.

I’m exactly the same. I have been dreaming of football and waking up at 4.30 every morning. As soon as I am half awake, I start thinking about the game and can’t get back to sleep.

A future Premiership or two beckons with our list, particularly if we can strengthen slightly in a few areas. That said, I think we might just pinch one this year. Going to be amazing tonight! Make some noise Victorian supporters, old Fitzroy diehards and interstate visitors!

I remember that thread, i think i was the first or one of them to openly claim the 'lid' was off and we would be successful. No Grand final just yet but gee we have come a long way continually playing finals than the years before 2019 sitting at the Gabba with less than 10,000 at a game just wishing something would change from the floggings. A 2 hour drive home after each game and being ridiculed by opposition supporters when we wore our supporter gear into the roadhouse to get a coffee on the trip. Its easy to see us in the finals for at least the next 2 years and - yes - a couple of Premierships in those.

P1 GF registration done, have decided I am taking a trip to Melbourne for a week no matter what the result is tonight. So let’s hope the boys can give it to them Cats and make this a trip of a lifetime.

Ha ha, that was pretty much what most of us was thinking thoughout stages of the year, who would of thought we would be having a face off in a prelim with the cats and feeling like it's a fifty fifty, with a bit of a relaxed feel about it.
Once we beat the tigers ,there was belief , I BELIEVE.
We can do this
They are no bigger or stronger only older, slower.
