Three, maybe four years.

I reckon that most people are too impatient with success. Most Premiership sides take at least five years to develop, and even then, you need some luck to go your way. In about 5 years time, our kids should have 120 to 150 games under their belts, they should have enough experience to deal with all sorts of game situations, and hopefully, they will be hitting the peaks of their talent. And keep in mind, there are a few other very talented young lists out there as well - St.Kilda, Geelong, Fremantle, and the Swans all have good young lists (with the first three at least a year ahead of us in terms of their development).

When Chad Jones and David Hale stand up.

What we need is 1 KP defender (athletic), a medium sized quick inside midfielder (like Judd, Ball) and the likes of Hale, Jones, Mc Intosh and Shore to stand up.

Could be next year if we trade well, could be 3 to 4 if we have to grow our own.

Smalls and Medium sized guys are pretty much there, it is up to the talls. Would think that both Hale and C. Jones will be big next year so all depends on 1 or 2 others IMHO.

I think it's impossible to gauge, in terms of years, but I'm sure it'll be very much determined by how shrewd and LUCKY we are in relation to list management in the coming years..................ie. holding onto our best players and somehow either unearthing other similarly talented youngsters or snaring the right types from other clubs.

I'm hoping within 5 years, but won't be disappointed if we're at least threatening to break through within that time.

next year, we must consolidate out spot in the top 8. Maybe somewhere between 3-6th. A premiership next year is a bit too much to ask IMO... 2006 is the year!

2005 would be nice, with all the celebrations etc...
