Brodie is very good at his one-wood, the problem is that it’s literally all he can do and his second position is the bench going at his 60-70% game time. Maybe after a big preseason he’s back in front of Erasmus but he still has to get on ball time with all of Fyfe, Young, Serong, Brayshaw, Johnson, Jackson and probably JOM who will start forward.

There is no room in that lot for a guy who can only play one spot. Anyone injured I can see him ahead of Ras as first man in, sure

When we were struggling midfield at times, injection of Aish seemed to be the mix we needed. Probably not long term but what mid role was he was playing . Seemed he was able extract and get the ball going in our direction

Given he's signed up for a few years yet, there's time for him to add to his toolkit if he's able.

The west article mentioned him starting in the forward line in the Sim, seems they are genuinely trying to see if he has the versatility to play somewhere else, I had wondered why Fyfe and Brodie were both on the white team, as the rest of the mini sims, they’d played against each other.

Anyone got any information on Worner? Mate who was at the praccy said he looks significantly improved and was always looking to lower the eyes rather than bombing it long into 50....
I missed the weekend so can't comment on that match but Worner's problem isn't lowering his eyes, he generally does that, the problem is the kick then either sails 5 metres over the players head or 5 metres each side.

Alright! Finally there! Enjoy peeps and let the true gnashing of teeth commence!! :p

If we are going to get an advantage out of Darcy being able to straight arm block, it might mean we can just run the three best clean hands and handball clearance players we have: Fyfe, Serong, Brodie.

Then have our half backs cheat off their man to run by for the handball.

Good to hear he was playing well in an intra..but his papers are stamped for mine. Completely lost at sea at the top level, but will be handy for Peel for the next year.

Has a contract for 2025 so more than likely has at least two more years to prove himself.

Not exactly what I’d call ‘papers stamped’.

Do kind of agree he was a little exposed at AFL level though.

Agreed. Hope he makes it, but I’m not confident and i honestly don’t see a spot for him in our backline or where we are already struggling to fit guys into the midfield.

Anyone perplexed at the idea that Brayshaw is behind Brodie and even Johnno as a centre bounce mid might be interested in watching this bounce in slomo:

I wonder what the club thinks with these videos being released

This plus others sowing far more game time

Freo release just what they want non members to see to help sell more memberships, however, is this going too far. Unintentionally from the fans.
