Tabs will be battling to get a gig in the fwd line and has zero hope to get a wing spot.We can't play 4 talls in the forward line thats not an option in my view . If Tabs plays I would have him playing on a wing . He's got the tank and when he has played before he's often high up the ground offering a marking contest
Aaron Keating and Frampton?freo1997 put it this way, I’m sure there are plenty worse AFL premiership players than Emmett
Small forward version of Dan RioliAaron Keating and Frampton?
Geez that’s little generous.Small forward version of Dan Rioli
Only way you could seriously play Tab is if Cox is out and Treacy is down back.Tabs will be battling to get a gig in the fwd line and has zero hope to get a wing spot.
Not sure what others saw yesterday…
I saw a guy who couldn’t get space from his opponent, barely any aerial presence and just continually double back leads into space which isn’t working out for him like 20/21 seasons yet.
Will start for Peel.
Nah I meant small forward version of Rioli was a terrible premiership player. Very good off half back though. I think you’ve been harsh on Emmett, I think we all had similar or worse opinions of Schultz the first few years and I think there is always room at AFL for 185cm+ player who runs around like a maniac trying to hurt blokesGeez that’s little generous.
Need to see more than 2 afl games.
His first few Peel games were pretty awful tbh so I kinda stamped his papers then. Somewhat turned it around with a cameo late last year, we’ll see how he goes.
I am more keen to see Wagner out there strutting his stuff..unfortunately with his interrupted pre season will have him starting at peel. Really rate his run n carry. So much more damaging than Worner, Walker and even Aishy.
Clark and Wagner could really drive us.
Emmett just on physical attributes is both taller and faster than Schultz which is exciting but obviously doesn't have the game experience Schultz does. These hard working small forward types do take extra time to develop so I'm happy to just give him Schultz's spot and let him play all 26 games to learn the position.Emmett looked really strong yesterday. Especially in the early goings. Was very exciting to see.
Tabs due being basically off the field for two years will now need to build some game continuity through Peel. It took APearce a while after missing a couple of years. Hamling looked lost in 2022 but started to show a bit after basically playing week in week out at Peel in 2023.Tabs will be battling to get a gig in the fwd line and has zero hope to get a wing spot.

To be honest I never really warmed to Shultz at first. A good mate reckoned I was harsh on him. Definitely improved over time but at his age he had too.Emmett just on physical attributes is both taller and faster than Schultz which is exciting but obviously doesn't have the game experience Schultz does. Nice mullet is an oxymoron imoI was watching the match sim and was very interested in a young peel player in purple backline . He's tall about 190 cm and he would be close to 90kgs . Brown hair. Nice mullet. He tackled Johnson in the back pocket . .the tackle was first class . Johnson not only couldn't brake the tackle he was taken down and forced over the boundary for a stoppage . Does anyone know the kids name .I believe he's a Colts player
Re: Wagner.Johnson definitely has some forward craft and goalkicking ability in his locker but I’m not sure Young has ever kicked a goal for freo, maybe once? It sounds like young will play midfield.
Is Wagner injured or did he play yesterday?
Trying to keep a lid on the excitement of Fyfe having a great preseason. Could be transformational to our midfield that lacked a lot last year. When the whips were cracking last year it was Sidebottom and Pendlebury, both older than Fyfe that were carrying that Pies side to the flag.
Wagner didn’t play. He is just about my favourite player to watch..reminds me of Neesham era docker players off half back. Run n Carry/chip and draw.Johnson definitely has some forward craft and goalkicking ability in his locker but I’m not sure Young has ever kicked a goal for freo, maybe once? It sounds like young will play midfield.

If he did play I for one didn’t spot him. Doubt he didRe: Wagner.
The Ryan interview seemed that he could have played some minutes yesterday , but the club was just being overly careful.
Shouldn’t be too far away
Horribly worded my end.If he did play I for one didn’t spot him. Doubt he did
80s Richard Marx says hi. WAFG.
I have never been a gambler but even I succumbed and put $100 on as at $4.50 to make the finals. I even put $25 on Serong winning the Brownlow at $26.00.Go the Anchors
not a gambler but I’m tempted
$4.50 to make the 8 will be like going to an ATM machine

I really want to see Emmett play the negating forward role on the oppositions best rebounding defender and round 1 on Coleman would be a great test, he cut teams up during last years finals series and to take that away from the lions would go a long way to securing the win.Emmett just on physical attributes is both taller and faster than Schultz which is exciting but obviously doesn't have the game experience Schultz does.
