So Kelly beat -

McGovern and Ryan. Plus a bunch of kids in Malakai, Grego, Shanahan and Gross.

Absolutely huge.
I swear Kelly following the same demise that sheed went through a few years ago minus the injuries. With Baker/Graham in now I really don’t want him handed games if he coasts like last season. I defended his traded and I’ve defended him over the years but his lack of leadership for a 30 year old is really pissing me off. The bare minimum he can do is by plying good and setting an example but bar a couple a games a season, he mostly just coasts

I was happy to get no3 for Judd 2007 .He was poor , carrying the pubis injury many of us had never heard of at the time in his 2007 season . I've never heard anyone complain even in the early days for the picks we recieved for him . Josh Kennedy was steak knives and I thought Carlton were generous even tho Kennedy was a raw talent i doubt many would have seen his talent as he took 5 plus years to really hit his straps.
Folks around these parts are much more cut up that ebert left us than judd

Our clubs social media team leaves a lot to be desired sometimes. Not a single live post or action shot from today's session. If it weren't for Bo Allen saying they pulled the young blokes out half way through the session you wouldn't even know the Eagles were open today.

Poor Poor Poor.

Ok?

“We are a tough, fast….
creates turnovers as qui….”

Not the first team McQualter has run with this mantra - clearly it’s going to be a massive focus of his

I’m all here for it

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. He carried a hip or knee injury through a lot of last year that clearly impacted his running. Hopefully it has cleared up over the break and he just needs to build fitness.
Don’t give him the benefit of the doubt. He’s done himself absolutely no favours.

he speaks well in that regards but it’s hard to get around him just yet as simmo spoke very much like that as well. Long story short just don’t want to get my hopes up

And Simmo win a flag.

Hopefully Mini can do the same/better

Wowee. I've seen more photos of Jack Darling today in North gear than I have Liam Baker and Jack Graham and they arrived at the club last week.
We don't pin the hopes and dreams of a club on the players we trade in.

North clearly need all the feathers in the cap.

"He sounds like our last premiership coach, which is not good."

F*cken bonkers.

ALLEN WANTS LONGER DEAL FROM EAGLES

Eagles star forward Allen and West Coast will recommence contract talks now that the trade and draft period is over.

But at this stage their offer is not longer than five seasons even though Allen is only 25 years old.

Allen would like a six or seven-year contract as a star free agent after Adelaide’s Darcy Fogarty signed a six-yearpre-free agent deal and Richmond’s Noah Balta was locked in for seven more seasons after giving away his free agency rights.

Allen is back in training after playing the last 10 games after a 14-week spell out with a knee injury and while he will have to manage that knee for the rest of his career is confident he can play well into his 30s.
But at this stage West Coast is still cautious on the kind of long-term deals that saw them lock in Andrew Gaff for six seasons as he played only five games in his final year.
The club was able to extricate itself from the last year of Jack Darling’s long-term deal by trading him to North Melbourne for a late pick.

But the Eagles signed Nic Naitanui for two more years despite knee issues in 2022 and he did not play another game, retiring halfway through the contract.

So West Coast will have to weigh rival interest and continue negotiations with Allen’s management, aware it could open them up to him leaving for a club prepared to risk his injury history with a long-term deal.

I think its good by the club to be cautious with this. Would suck to lose allen after losing barrass but if he decides to leave more a bigger or longer term contract then so be it.

New coach, no credits crew!
Have a bit of faith, Simmo was very cooked at the end, with no answers.
Give the new coach a bit of time to sort the mess out.

I’m not anti simmo but it’s more that even over the last season the sentiment and message coming out of Simmo’s mouth over the last few seasons have been very similar but the result never improved. This me personally not getting excited by early preseason talk and etc as I just don’t want to be let down. I’m not saying Mini is just dropping all cliches but till we start playing a few games, I’m not going to buy into they hype

Even 5 years is God damn long with the uncertainty around his knee.

It's not about being 'anti' Simmo, it's about the fact that if Mini can win a flag from Perth, that'd be a very good effort.

What's MAS?
It's f***ed.

I did one a few years ago, I'm assuming they use the 30:15 method.

Similar to a beep test, but you shuttle run 40m back and forth for 30secs with a 15sec recovery at the end.
At the beginning of each 45 sec set, the pace increases 0.5km/hr (I think from memory it starts at 7km/hr??).

There are also zones at 20m and 30m (and 40m) that you have to reach before each beep (which increase in speed as well)
