Going to do this in alphabetical order but essentially it's a seasons prediction for Season 1 of the Sweet CA. Information accurate as of 9/12/24.
Darkness Eternal
Captain: boncer34
Squad balance: 8 batters/1 keeper/3 all rounders/1 bowler
Predicted finish: 4th
Darkness Eternal have gone for an unorthodox squad balance here, but I have a funny feeling it might be relatively successful. He made some controversial additions to his squad but it'll be a sight to see what happens purely from a chaos theory point of view.
Fulmina Qricket Club
Captain: FootyGuy13
Squad Balance: 5 batters/1 keeper/2 all rounders/5 bowlers
Predicted finish: 1st
Fulmina have a very balanced squad at the moment, captain FG has built a good core of the side with a strong posting presence throughout. A little lacking in terms of spin presence is my biggest criticism of the squad but otherwise they'll be a handful to beat on most decks.
Keptin Mafia
Captain: Chipmunk
Squad balance: 5 batters/1 keeper/3 all rounders/4 bowlers
Predicted finish: 3rd
The biggest worry from Keptin's perspective is their reliance on spin. With only one frontline seamer they probably should be prioritising changing one of their three leggies into another medium pure bowler but otherwise they look good.
Qoalas Qricket Club
Captains: Wosh, TheInjuryFactory
Squad Balance: 4 batters/1 keeper/2 all rounders/6 bowlers
Predicted finish: 6th
A lack of batting is the big issue I see with the Qoalas, they've gone hard at having a good attack but will likely struggle to make a score on a bowling deck due to their squad imbalance. A few squad changes could still occur for them to find the right balance within the side.
West Gate Trolls
Captain: tgrs
Squad Balance: 5 batters/1 keeper/3 all rounders/5 bowlers
Predicted Finish: 2nd
The Trolls have a strong squad with good balance. Having three active all rounders will make it an interesting balancing act for captain tgrs but on the surface they have a good combination of pace, spin, batting and bowling that should hold them in good stead.
Western Stars
Captains: HARPSichord, BigChippa52
Squad Balance: 5 batters/1 keeper/5 all rounders/3 bowlers
Predicted Finish: 5th
Keeping in mind they haven't moved any players yet, their squad is very all rounder heavy and can often be a black hole for teams in this sim. It'll be interesting to see how the captains navigate this over the season, they might elect to change any bowling all rounders to pure bowlers as well.
