I am currently deciding what to write my thesis on at uni and am thinking about trying to determine the relationship between particular stats and wins/winning margins (similiar to Berri, Schmidt and Brook's book Wages of Wins) and am just trying to find a website that dates back to at least 2000 with stats such as rebound 50's, inside 50's, clearances, bounces, long kicks to advantage, contested possessions won, etc....

I know I can get this years stats of Pro-Stats and I have just tried to register to become a member but their website is battling at the moment....does anyone know anywhere else I could get some info or have any suggestions, past research etc...

Maybe try emailing CD directly, maybe you'll be able to get them to give you something given you're doing it for uni.

If you do find something some other way, let us know. It's pretty pathetic that they still keep these stats locked up, years later.

Didn't the Herald Sun kick up a stink about inside 50s, rebound 50s, clearances and clangers a while ago, claiming ownership or something?

Don't think it matters now as the AFL website has it all on it.

Yeah, the Herald Sun got all grabby. The AFL so far hasn't been, but no plans to partially re-instate any other stats.
