Does anyone work in the field of insurance or have a bit more knowledge than I do in relation to a proposed cash settlement claim I've received?
I made a claim in relation to a faulty Air Con. I received three quotes. The below quote is the one I went with.
Works were complete as per the above quote. Total cost was $1,057.
A couple of days ago I received a proposed offer for cash settlement of $962. This is obviously the cost for the AC unit and they haven't included the price of $95 for the clean.
At first glance that seems reasonable, but before I accept, I thought I'd field some suggestions here as to whether I accept, or whether I'm being lowballed?
I.e. If the installer/tradesperson claims it was not possible to perform the job without having it cleaned, would that be grounds to have the additional $95 added onto the proposed offer?
