Yesterday we lost another Shinboner.
North Fans that go to games around Aust & Melb would have seen & met Jacqui.Jacqui was fighting her 2nd bout of Cancer and this time it beat her.We are all sad at the loss of our friend Jacqui.
She always had a smile on her face and was a sponsor to players like Mason Wood in the past. She was always around Arden St and she loved going to the B&F.
R.I.P Jacqui You will be missed.

If she's who I think she is, she's from a long term north family.

Either way sorry to hear this sad outcome for anyone.

Oh no this is so sad. I worked with Jacqui about 12 years ago and it was great coming into the office and talking all things North. I last saw her after she’d beaten cancer and she was in pretty good spirits so am devastated to hear this news.
Farewell Jacqui and of course Go Roos!!

I’ve known Jacqui for 20 years or so through North and was shocked to wake up to the news of her passing on Sunday morning. Probably the most devoted North supporter I’ve ever known. Never bad mouthed a player, instead going out of her way to get to know the person and understand their story.

She wasn’t flush with cash yet would purchase flights for the whole year’s worth of footy weekends away following North.

She was cheeky, quick witted and very loyal. The glue that held a whole group of North supporters together.

I sat with her on lvl 2 late last year (she usually sat level one) and had a lengthy chat. My mum had gone through radiation for breast cancer earlier in the year so I introduced her to Jacqui. I may as well have introduced her to Anthony Robbins, she was that empathetic and uplifting. They hugged.

For those who don’t know Jacqui used to be in the roo costume before games out on the field.

She was known and loved by many, including many players and artists, and touched them all.

Leigh Colbert flew down from Mildura to see her only days ago and Adam Thompson of Chocolate Starfish stood by her bedside, held her hand, and sang this to her late last week.

She maintained friendships with players long after they’d left the club also.

A very sad loss indeed.

Gee that’s powerful reading mate. She sounded like an amazing Shinboner but even more so, an amazing human.

RIP.

North have Donated 200 tickets to round 1 so all her friends and people that knew her can celebrate her and hopefully the Roos get a Win.

I never met her but googled her name and here is her death/funeral notice. Others may recognise her from that.

Only 48 years old. Life is so cruel sometimes.

Fwiw confirmed Jacqui had family who had played for the club and was very much an engaged, passionate part of the place.

Gone way too young.
According to the article on the NMFC website, she is the great granddaughter of 1903 premiership player John English.
