I was getting a bit nervous in the 4th, it was almost like we just started to run out of legs. Our efforts weren't linking together as easy as they were earlier on, but I loved the work rate all the same.

I'm still so super happy to see LT back on the ground again after being carried off, that speaks so much of his character.

ZOB needs to learn the words to the song. He's had 2 wins from 2 games.

A few recent inclusions and changes have really helped us. Like Beams in, Merrett forward, Goose down back and tonight Martin and Bewick.

I loved Aish and Taylor's games tonight. And Bewick had his best game by a long way I think. Martin just worked hard all game and Merritt was really good when he came in as well. Our defence looked really solid albeit against a fairly mediocre forward line - they were rarely under real pressure which must have made a nice change! Hopefully these are the sorts of games that they get to develop different sorts of skills than just desperate defence. I also thought Redden was great and Zorko showed the ability he has to just change a game. Browny played a great role and had his best defensive game of the season I thought - a few really good pressure acts.

Phew. I think we did well to hang on despite them being on top the whole 2nd half.
Things are never as bad as they seem- we're still a better team than the Bulldogs even with our injuries. Great to see Beams getting back into it, he could be a very important player for us if he even comes close to reaching his potential. I thought Bewick was much more effective last year when he pushed up onto the wing. He'll always be a limited player, but this role suits his strengths much better.

Speaking of the Doggies... I've always had a soft spot for them, but I really don't like we're they're going. No balance in their team at all and the list is full of holes. They can't keep drafting inside midfielders- Macrae is the only outside class they've picked up recently.

congratulations, just got home from the game

hoping at least a few of you had some bets on yourself to win and you made some money

you're right and the only other one was Lachie Hunter who has played more of a forward to date

It was a nervous drive back from Bribie listening to the second half. We seemed to lose some of our run and I thought we were going to the young team fade. Holding on by a point in the third made the difference after that cracker of a first half.
All up a great effort and was so pleased to see Stef Martin prove a lot of the doubters wrong.

I had begun to think Aish and Taylor were due for a rest but that certainly wasn't the way they looked tonight. Bewick had a great game and we always look dangerous when Zorko gets hold of the ball. Great team effort tonight. Go Lions!!
