Lets all have a laugh at Carlton. In fact we deserve to be laughed at, pathetic display. Isn't it funny how the same people go missing every time the heat is on? No finals for us again this year, same skill errors, turnovers, same people making same shameful decisions. We deserve everything we cop, we are a pathetic team we only have about 6 players who really try. I am laughing actually at all the post saying we are a top 4 team, we are going to smash Freo. What happened tonight? Let's hear the excuses for the passengers tonight. Yarran had a very good first game for us am excited by this kid, Murphy busted his balls, Kruz same again, Gibbs and Judd tried their hardest. Simpson, Thornton, Hadley, and a lot of others passengers that disappear when we need people to stand up. If it wasn't for Murphy, Gibbs, Judd, Kruz, Yarran, Eddie we would have lost by 7 goals. Well done to Freo taught us a football lesson, we are just pathetic. We are nothing but a bunch of pretenders.

I too am absolutely shattered. Fremantle aren't anything near a quality side, which in turn says a lot about us.

Too many passengers to name, but among them, who has been one of my favorites in Simpson needs to stand up and take a good look at himself. The amount of times he dished off to a teammate who was closely marked by the opposition, to cause a direct turnover was amazing. Not to mention the majority of his kicks which were simply 'kick and hope' type floaters.

But of course it would be just unfair to single out Simmo, so all of the team except for Judd, Murph, Gibbs, Kruez, Waite and Yarran, should be ashamed.

gibbs hasn't lifted how we all wanted...and although he is better than most it was dissapointing in regards to his standards

waite faded out towards the end

so disappointed, pies next week is a huge game now and from the nonchalant effort we put in today are we really up for the big occasion?

No. Houlihan deserved to be dropped. He is soft as butter and until he can learn to put his body on the line, lay a solid tackle and win some contested footy he should not wear the navy blue. He was absolutely shithouse for the Bullants today too. Does not deserve to come back into the side for AT LEAST a month.

yep easily the worst performance of the year how are you expected to win a premiership when half the team is shit that was an absolute disgrace. Its also time to stop drafting late comers to the game (hampson,ohailpin,armfield) we would have ended up with better players if we picked players whove actually played their whole lives. Watching essendon last night they are a shitload better side than us with a lot of good players missing and they WILL win a gf before us. I tell you now ther are more skilfull players running around here in darwin at the moment. That was a great chance to cement our spot in the eight and they just f****ed it.

Fev and Stevo were clearly the biggest disappointment's as they so often are. Fev may have been injured but Stevo, well he was just the same old Stevo. Still look forward to the day when these two are gone. Our "culture/attitude" will improve drastically. '

We took a bit of a risk bringing in raw players and we didn't come away with the win but at least these guys showed a bit. All were very impressive. I was surprised at how well Hampson (Sampson to some) handled it and Austin/Yarran both showed very good signs.

We're going to be in the group of teams fighting for the 8 but our percentage is still pretty strong so there's a fair chance we'll be there and we should improve as the season progresses. These close losses are killing us at the moment though. Again our inaccuracy was very costly. We seem to be most inaccurate when we have momentum. Swans, Essendon and tonight all examples of games where we dominated periods of play and killed ourselves with inaccuracy. 0.7 against swans, 2.8 against bombers, 0.5 tonight. Something like that anyway. Hopefully it all comes together next week.

Set shot kicking early third quarter (5 straight misses?) buried us.

we are absolutely pathetic. unfortunately no improvement since last year.
rattens getting outcoached week in week out!
they forced us out wide way too often
when fev doesn't fire we have no chance
the following players must take a good hard look at themselves and should all be up for the chopping block:
1. Simon Wiggins- 10 possessions tonight and no goals= horror performance last week
2. Jordan Russell- I can't believe he keeps getting selected. His kicking is not even VFL standard.
3.Cameron Cloke- 1 cherry picking goal and NOTHING ELSE. provides nothing. is lazy, slow and a waste of space
4. Shaun Hampson- Really didn't rate his game. Only 6 hitouts and he looks like an unco.
5. Kade Simpson- Got alot of the ball but he is SO WEAK. gets outmuscled too often

I am still struggling to understand how these threads are actually reviews of the game, anyway...

Certainly dissapointing - we should have won tonight and it would have placed us in third spot. If Fev kicks that goal last week, we could have been sitting a game clear in third...in reality that could, and should have happened considering the difficulty of Fev's kick, and our opposition tonigh, but alas it was not to be.

Alpha mate you really have NFI at times. Thornton was one of our best tonight, set up a lot of play. Why does Simpson get your blame for our midfield not doing its job?

This constant praise of Judd, Murphy, Gibbs ect. is crap. Murphy kept just bombing it into our forward 50, and Gibbs disposal and decision making at times was pretty terrible tonight. Judd was Judd.

Our forward line was non-existant, so we needed Judd, Murphy, Gibbs, Stevens ect. to dominate the midfield tonight to give ourselves enough chance. Freo's mediocre midfield made ours look pretty average tonight.

I can not understand how soft some of our players are. I cant believe how many passengers we have. Murphy gets worked over and the only player going in is Gibb's. 'They know we're coming' may have been about three years too soon. Cloke, Wiggins, Russel, with these players considered in our best 22 then we are in no contention for winning any flags.
