Great games by all players today but l still get the shakes when McDonald has the ball. Hopefully Waite will be back next week but Scott says Jacobs is indefinate...This was what we saw in the first half of the season that had everyone shaking their head and admitting they got it wrong...

Very happy with the win, but more importantly really happy that we have gone back to the intensity we had pre-bye, we put them under a ton of pressure and even though our tackling left a lot to be desired for it's execution, there was a lot more intent to put the players under pressure and a lot more intent to disposes the opposition rather than just corral and let them hit uncontested targets.

We still need to work on the kick going inside 50, we can't just go to Brown all the time, we need to utilise other options, we also need to have more plays where Brown goes to one pocket, drawing the crowd with him, while we look to hit up Wood or Ziebell in the corridor one-out, we have to bring the ball into the corridor a lot more before we go inside which gives us more opportunity to go inside 50 without being forced to just go long to where it is congested.

WCE supporters on Reddit complaining about the umps. I did'nt see them get the rough end of the stick today?
The only one that stood out was Zeibell completing a mark a couple of metres over the line. Umps made a few mistakes, like they always do, but I didn’t think it really favoured either side.

Hahaha. Never change West Coke supporters. They won the free kick count 17-16. Half of our frees would of resulted from them being caught holding the ball due to not being able to stand up to the heat in arctic conditions. EAD.

There's a MB thread by a ____ing loser complaining that they had to play in Hobart. It's amazing.
Is complaining that Blundstone arena is not AFL standard, specifically citing the wind.

Blundstone is one of the best maintained ovals in Australia, and the wind was non existent today lol.

Probably already been quoted, but Dermie in a rare moment of lucidity summed it up perfectly: "Ahern and Cunnington have assaulted the West Coast midfield today".

And Dwayne, it's "punched" the ball, not "knuckled" you colossal f***punch.

Great Win by the Mighty NMFC and it was brought about by a ferocious attack on the ball and applying continued pressure on the opposition. Special mentions to not only Ahern and Cunnington but also for Goldstein. Best game for the year IMO. His attack on the Football was first class. Plenty to like. Maj, Marley, Simpkin and Anderson very good. We just need to bring that Pressure week in week out. 79 tackles this week. Compare that to last week's Rot. :stern look

The good thing about this game is we have shit loads to fix and it won’t be done in 6 days but the rest of the season and pre season.
I love the club however I’m not happy with how players are getting games when they don’t deserve it and their are blokes in the vfl that are beaking their balls to get in and don’t even get a look in

But the lack of success through the middle of the ground was more of a contributing factor.

Simpson conceded his side was “out-pressured and out-worked”, with workmanlike Roos midfielders including Ben Cunnington, Paul Ahern and Jed Anderson making the biggest impact at stoppages.

The Eagles lost the clearance battle 44-36 and finished 26 shy of North Melbourne in the contested possession stakes.

On a typically wet and windy day in Hobart, you need to take every advantage you can get in the battle to gain ground. And the Roos were simply able to gain more and more in the territory stakes as the match wore on, doing their best work when the ball was up for grabs.

Tellingly, North Melbourne was able to commit more bodies to more contests on a more regular basis.

Dwayne thinks we picked up Ahern with Pick 65. All in Sunbury knows it was Pick 69. :stern look

And LOL Dermie thinking Pegs meant Peninsula and Essendon Grammar. :stern look
