What's wrong at Rockbank? Getting flogged by a battling Woodend at home isn't good.

The Tigers juniors have spent the last 12 months trying to get numbers for the 16s and 18s .. it has been a hard climb for them but their efforts cannot be denied.. both the Senior and Junior clubs identified the problem early last year and have had some bad luck with numbers along the way.. they've worked extremely hard, coming up with as many different strategies as possible but haven't had so much luck.. fingers crossed it pays off next year with 16s and 18s.The development of local talent is obviously very important as we move into the future with the new point system. I think you would agree Blueboy67 that Romsey are in a pretty healthy position. Since the Romsey/Lancefield jnrs went separate ways, the Tigers seem to have gone backwards. Lancefield had an exodus of players from their Jnr program at the start of this year and have not had under 16s or 18s for the last two seasons. Do the Tigers invest time into the jnrs? My reason for asking. I'm not sure how sustainable Lancefield are with the Jnr program they have.

Need to go to under 19s
Would Wallan juniors ever contemplate rolling back across? I was told the difference in league fees was one reason, but overall an alignment of 16s thru to 18s may help eleviate what Iceman is stating (17s to 18s)
Either way we can't have Mitchell Shires second biggest township forfeiting 3rds games of footy. Hopefully a mere once off
The juniors have stated that they wanna stay in the northern but at least at this stage the junior & senior clubs are in discussions about not having 17s anymore to make it easier to get a 18s team. There is a meeting tonight to discuss our 18s for the rest of this season.
If you were on the committee at rockbank and woodend i'd imagine you would be extremly disapointed so far in what both sides have bought to the table this year. What's wrong at Rockbank? Getting flogged by a battling Woodend at home isn't good.

I have one possibly two wins for the rest of the season from both these sides.
Rockbank for me are the biggest disapointment.
Looks like a very prominent money man will be throwing quite a bit into a club next season.
That man has pumped plenty into maribynong park and also deer park.
From following players this season i believe that he has already started with a club down the hume.
I highly doubt the committees at Rockbank and Woodend expected to take the league by storm this year. They are about where they should be based on the resources at hand. Remember Rockbank lost Zerafa which is pretty hard to cover. The fact that they have the club at a point where not being in the top 6 is considered a failure by some is a huge accomplishment in its self. Perhaps not taken the league by storm but surely they would have expected an improvement of last year ?I highly doubt the committees at Rockbank and Woodend expected to take the league by storm this year. As for the money man lets hope every club behaves under the new salary cap next year. Threatens to turn local footy into a farce if half the clubs abide by it and the rest rort it.
Im hearing that broadford will be the lucky club of choice, with some players already at the club that have made a massive difference. How has this money man settled on his new club?
It's a points cap not a salary cap which will prevent Money Man doing what he has done at his previous clubs.Perhaps not taken the league by storm but surely they would have expected an improvement of last year ?
Looking back on past results woodend have been ordinary for quite some time now, what is wrong there ?
Do they not have the resources that other clubs do or are they just happy to keep plugging away playing kids ?
As for the salary cap, do you honestly think it wont be rorted?
Like the ammo's dont get paid but they have mortgages paid for them and jobs paying well over the going rate.
The cap will be impossible to police in my opinion.

Didnt seem to work to well up in the sunraysia league last seasonPoints system accompanied by a salary cap

Already somewhat involved I believe, and no doubt will see it right thru which means Broadford will win a flag in the not too distant future.
Money man puts them on the books at a certain company apparently as well, easy to pay blokes when it looks legitIt's a points cap not a salary cap which will prevent Money Man doing what he has done at his previous clubs.
Seniors to reserves ??Heard a rumour out of lancefield that some players were told if they don't play in a particular grade they are no longer welcome at the club? Anyone else head this or know any info on it ?
