Cmon boys calm down. I have read all these posts and Keston seemed to reply to some comments towards his club. I'm sure his comment was off the cuff, and he said if someone said this stuff to a club member it would cause issues. I'm guessing it would but usually these types of comments are used on these forums more than actually doing them, as it's all via a forum where no one knows anyone so we all need to chill out.
People like Keston seem to create conversation on these forums so his been good value. Not sure his the most hated.. But then again I also cop some criticism on other sites..Lol

Welcome to the forum Fabulous Rdfl as a Wallan person myself please tell me the last time Wallan 2nds forfeited as I am sure this hasnt happened in my lifetime.Secondly do you wish the 3 northern teams just leave the Rdfl or shut up shop completely and fold?Not going to bother getting into a slanging match with you but i dont think your post is a common sense approach.
Turbo by no means was I trying to dull Kestons passion for his club or footy in general but just think that all of us on here need to choose our words carefully. He and I share many of the same views on footy and I will never bag anyone who gets in and puts in the effort at club land...but we all have to breathe and think before we type God knows I've got myself in plenty of shit over the years for not doing just that

Macedon were disappointing yesterday. Looked the better team but had some really bad match ups which cost them and played 4 rucks so were really slow. Riddell were quicker and followed plan well to isolate some weak links and outcoached macedon on the day.
Heart stopper in the end after being 4 goals up going into last. Wallan kept us scoreless and nearly pinched it, credit to the boys to field a full side and be so competitive after last couple of weeks. Hate to see any club not have a healthy under 18's side, after all they are the future of our clubs. Good luck for remainder of the season.

I wish you'd be more truthful ha ha I'm not sure what you mean by this!!! The good old long time reader first time poster of 3-4 days back seems all over this Big Footy stuff, just a pity that you come as a debutante under non de plume nonetheless with such spirited content as it's hard to take it seriously.
I've never hid behind an alias, not my go don't understand the need to in fairness, Christ even I know how to work out who is double and triple dipping in terms of log on's/alias' so why bother. The only reason I'm copping Fabulous as a newbie is if its my old OMNI who I've missed dearly on here

Come on guys.. when are we going to see some great insights to what's happening on the footy field? .. this ganging up on people is what you'd expect in bloody grade prep.. who cares about who may have an alias etc.. whatever happened to the footy and of course, netball?

Settle ledg no ganging up from here I assure you mate. Just thought it odd that Fabulous comes in all guns blazing and agree wholeheartedly this thread sadly was one of Big Footy's best is know battling for credibility. Worst thing is the clubs worth talking about dont contribute so I guess that's why the usual pot shots etc are taking precedence.
Dont let it upset you or ruin the good work you do in promoting the RDFL, you be at Sundays game? If so I look forward to saying hi

didn't actually think of you when I threw that comment in there.. I know what you mean though.. the thread has taken a slide.. Few things upset me mate.. other than if a cold beer is not had after the game in good company which is happening less these days.. rushing off to other functions like heading down to the Dome to see former Riddell Umpire Jordie Andrews make his debut on the boundary.. bloody sensational effort and a great kid.. we talk about the great man Jake Lever making successful comebacks through injury to play at the top level.. Jordie has had his fair share of injuries and to make it into the AFL at just 22, is pretty awesome! I'll be there mate.. calling the Seniors.. will catch up with your iconic self there
I know Keston cops a bit of criticism on here(sometimes warranted)but he and others up Broadford must be doing something right as im hearing Paul Licuria is all set to go for season remainder.If so the landscape of finals takes on a whole new look.Time will tell I guess anyways good luck to em.

Hopefully it isn't too late.. the Roos have been outstanding this year but have fallen just short against the teams in the top six.. maybe a Licuria could have helped them to two or three wins.. and they'd be in the top six already and pressing for a top two position
Really concerned about the future of the RDFL with next seasons introduction of the points system with so many clubs having trouble fielding under age sides.
Today's herald sun report re diggers and the problems at lancefield, Kilmore, rockbank etc highlight the need for the league and clubs to get together and sort out what our future is.
Nobody can expect some of these clubs to turn it around without the league and the afl structuring all competitions so that kids are encouraged to play at one club and progress through to the seniors at the same club.
It is my opinion that it starts at under 14 level, and the domination of junior clubs that do not have seniors in our competition needs to addressed.
If we do nothing I predict that within 3 years our senior league may only consist of 10 clubs.
The points system in its principles may work but we must do whatever it takes to ensure that a strong junior dominance by a few clubs does not destroy the future of the senior competition.
I call on everybody to start working now otherwise it could be your club that is the next to fold at under 18, reserves and/or seniors.

Hey Garfield, you are raised some concerns which are fair. Can I ask what are the kids in the areas doing as I would assume a league like the RDFL would have good junior numbers in the towns. I might understand that Rockbank might struggle but the other areas should have plenty. I see some housing developments going up in Diggers Rest to assist them.
I think things like $5 kids meals on Thursdays nights are a great idea to get young families into your club. There are people everywhere with good ideas but the problem is getting helpers to coordinate things.
