No wonder Diggers Rest wanted the extra points a couple of big recruits Taylor Hine being one if my information is correct

Romsey announced in mid October that he was coaching next season. With a young kid and the time needed these days not surprising it has changed. Massive commitment to coach these days as Gisborne have just found out.

I am told Sunbury really battling to keep their list together at the moment. Hearing most of the list has at least met with other clubs. Cheep, Clarke, House, Murphy x 2 and Allen all confirmed as gone as I understand. Not as bad as it seems because some of those guys are high points and high dollars but losing Allen and Murphy hurts if true. Sunbury are very healthy off field though so will be fine either way.
Losing these players will open up there cash flow, Im betting Jarrod would have a few wanting to play under him.

Debacle indeed, it's pretty obvious now the poor buggers aren't getting any support anywhere. It's pretty f**king cut and dry I honestly don't know what waiting until Monday week is gunna prove.

AFL Vic just them go or let them go into recess ....

Ah AFL Vic, didn't they also introduce the points system. Serouisly they have no idea about grassroots footy and its people..

I personally think it's crazy for Kilmore to leave because long term it makes no sense. I don't see how you can stop them though. It's their decision and they should be allowed to make it.

Hey guys, will becoming a regular contributor in this section over the next few months and just wanted to say hi and get some thoughts on the good things about the RDFL and maybe just a rundown on standard, venues, entry prices for grounds if they exist, atmosphere around the league and stuff like that.

It's $8 for adults to get in I think. Standards gone up rapidly over the last 5 years but the points system will likely slow that down. Probably a similar standard to edfl div 1. The top teams would finish 4-6 in the Ballarat league I would think.

Don't know about that rating/standard Dons81 would not of thought the top 4 rdfl sides would beat the top 4 in Div 1 edfl or Div 2 nfl

Doutta and Craigieburn go ok the rest wouldn't go with the top sides. You only need to look at the names and watch the games. The bottom sides are not as bad in the edfl div 1 though I must admit.

Have a look at the projected population growth heading north out of Melbourne straight towards Kilmore and it makes lots of sense in the long term.

I played under him, the blokes a champion.
Great get for the Kangas, the place was on its knees before he coached along with the hard work of the committee.
He has spent the time getting better under the master. The Kangas will be in the hunt next year and be building for the future behind the scenes.

I was told by a strong source Taylor Hine as well as Sean hethrington were a fair chance to return to rupo.
Both boys are Rupo juniors through and through and still have plenty of mates at the club. Will be great to get them back. I haven't read up on all the points stuff properly but can assume they will be less points for us as they played juniors with us even though they are coming out of AFL/VFL.

Where has David house spoken to?

Taylor was a strong chance given the fact Rupo offered him a job through Villawood, however led to believe it's gone south with the $1200 price tag he put on his head. If he was key position or a dominant midfielder with super polish you could potentially justify it. However not being able to get a game in Andy Collins premiership Willy seniors being and Ex AFL player must mean he has to be realistic and know he's not worth anywhere near that

Taylor would of been a great recruit for rupo, IMO rupo could use 3-4 experienced players that could help all the young kids develop and learn.

Couldn't agree more. He is exactly the type of player they need but that at that price you could get 3-4 players to do the same job.

It will be disappointing if he does go elsewhere.

Josh Smerdon was another player on their radar to play next year but has signed with Woodend

If they miss out on Taylor, it would be great to see the likes of baddely, quigly, rush, phillips, return. That could be the difference come finals time

Wallan starting in 2 weeks.

that's gunna make you better footballers, why is it that when a new coach steps in he thinks he has the answer to what makes a better footballer? Iceman I bet you can't wait too do a few 440's around the ground in stinkin Fukn hot weather awhile your mates are having a beer and enjoying the sun and cricket and the new kids on the block ( under 18's ) think what the heck is going on here I thought footy was meant to be fun and to have a kick with mates and heck it might as well quit this shit and work and earn some coin and watch. Yhea I love pre pre pre season training!
