Has anyone in the RDT gone electric cars yet?

Curious as to actual numbers.

It's definitely on the to-do list. Keen to get a Tesla Model Y, but my current Mopmobile has only done 56000ks and runs like a dream. The smart play is to let the electrics come down.

Missus has done less than 10k in her Kona over 3 years. Pandemic, working from home, has a husband who is a sucker to drive her everywhere.

Anyway, when we buy a new house (how long is a piece of string), we plan on a big solar set up, and the missus wants to trade her Kona in for a Volvo C40.

I’ll wait until the GMC Hummer EV second or third gen becomes a little more affordable.

Range anxiety is currently too much a problem here in Australia. The Rivian looks cool, but if you're remote touring, towing a van, or just heading for a trip up north, there's still some issues to be overcome.

Yeah, range won't be an issue for us. Missus just wants a pickup we can put the bikes in the back of and head down the bay or where ever local. Furthest we go is sunshine coast or Toowoomba.

Also, she wants to buy an e-scooter when we had back to Vietnam in December.
