Bit late to the weather party, but my goodness. WTF was yesterday and this morning. Thought I would be a smart boy and get up early and get the run over and done with.

32.5° at 4:30am this morning?!

Slow arvo at work, decided to head over to the SRP board (maybe second or third time visit) to read the Trump/Musk reactions - I know it might be hard for some of you to believe but I'm dumber for the experience.

Just imagining moderating that bored makes me want to vomit.

How many $dollar signs$ were there?

Zero from what I saw. But there was a 25 page argument that Musk isn't a Nazi, but he may be a neo-Nazi, and it was important to make that distinction, in case you legitimately thought he lived in Germany in the 1930s/40s and was one of Hitler's ministers.

Had a western brown snake in the house tonight....in true heroic fashion I jumped up and ran over to grab the puppy, slipped and fell on my tailbone

But all we really want to know is whether the puppy is ok

Looks like my sons music career is about to take a leap forward

He’s about to do a second tour over east to do a few shows like he did last year but might incorporate a trip to Tokyo to a show(s) there as well

This is after playing support for Whatsonot at the Icecream Factory a couple of weeks ago in front of ~5000 people

He’s then planning on travelling to Toronto mid year with preliminary plans to play over there. Also has friends/contacts in New York that might translate into some gigs there

It’s all a bit surreal

Any thoughts of going the shovel? I'd be loathe to do it, but if it's in my house or backyard, then maybe.
I did eventually manage to coax the mrs out of the bedroom to get me a shovel (I didn't want go outside and lose sight of it). The snake catcher took an hour to get here and it started getting pretty agitated a few times so I wanted something better than a broom to protect myself with.
I managed to kind of push it towards a corner just before he got here and it went behind a cupboard and stayed there.
The bloke was great though, caught it in about 30 seconds of being here.
Cost $200 but I would have paid $500 😂

Has anyone bought a Haval?
My mrs car needs an upgrade and as much as I know they're a cheap great wall they're kind of ticking all the boxes
My uncle had one as a hire car and raved about it for the week he had it.

They haven't really been around long enough to know a heap about the long term reliability, but with a 7 year unlimited KM warranty you'd hope you at least get looked after if something did go wrong down the track.

My mate bought a H6, he's been raving about how good it is.

But keep an eye on the flow on effect of the Oompa Loompa taking office in the USA again, could lead to cheaper EVs
Don't think an EV will work for us out here, the power is shit and I'd rather not be relying on one if there's a fire.
Yeah was looking at the
H6's, they look pretty good and like TY24 said with a 7 year warranty you'd hope they'd be good longish term.
Then again I saw someone with a brand new MG that have a 10 year warranty trying to put their door handle back on in a car park because it fell off when they closed the door slightly too hard

The Haval hybrid's might be worth a look for you then. They don't need to be plugged in for the electric side of things and still use fuel.

Yeah might check them out. Kind of want it to be a backup tow vehicle for my small camper as well and the towing capacity of the hybrids put me off a bit. The petrol 4WD with 2 litre engine doesn't look too bad though
