I have had recurring hammy strains for the past two years (left one in 2016, right and left one in 2017 both of which i still played on and trained respectively, and then another bad one on my left hammy about 2 months ago) ever since I dislocated my knee in 2015 when i was 17. Even now whilst i'm getting back into footy, i still feel my left hammy is still very weak even after doing a bit of rehab. I feel bad for not training especially for the length of time I've been out and really hate watching the boys train and play whilst i waste away on the sidelines. Because I feel my hammy isn't 100% should I delay my return to footy for another month and strengthen it as much as i can or should I get back into it and hope for the best based on the limited rehab I've done. Last question is how do I stop my hamstrings from being injured again as it is becoming very annoying having my footy disrupted so much.

regards for any advice fellas would be greatly appreciated need the advice now more than ever.

imo rehab should never stop.
It just ceases to be called rehab and becomes strengthening.

In the meant time you can read through these and work out if any of the risk factors apply to you
