Not being biased, but if it's not Newcombe just turf the weekly nomination process because it isn't working.

31 touches in his 12th game against an experienced midfield in a tense blockbuster. Was massive.

I was thoroughly impressed with O'Driscoll too having watched him for the first time, but has to be Duke this week.

Newk was huge today. Tough as nails too.

Unfortunately i feel like North's poor form will cost JH-F any chance to win the award (although he will get nominated at some stage)

Daicos and Rachele seem to have a big head start on all other nominees and potential nominees at this stage.

He will win if hes good enough but so far Daicos and Rachele have been better and you can argue so has Newcombe and Bowey

He has to play really well to get nominated. Regardless of the team.

Has to be Jai this week.

What a great find by our club…and to think he’s only played 11 games…huge upside. He’s been our most consistent midfielder this season and would be top 5 in our best and fairest..
Terrific player.
Overlooked by recruiters who are utterly obsessed with local Melbourne private school boys.
Any club who can exploit this will get a huge competitive advantage.

Hawks have done very well getting this kid for free and Mitch Lewis late in the draft.

Ginnivan this week I'd like to think.

Only player I could cop beating him would be Gibcus but I'm not sure what he did was enough to surpass 5 goals in a BOG performance.

The duke being tagged is a pretty big feat for such a young player. The "panel" (I.e. media stat watchers) won't take it into account though

Well yeah, you don't normally get votes for being tagged. But I get what you're trying to say.

Out of interest, who tagged him? Was it a hard tag because I didn’t really notice it. But I think Newcombe is already your best midfielder
