Whoever picked Tsatas in the 1st rnd can **** right off.

Apart from a few stray kicks, he's the least of our problems, like Guelfi, takes on the contest with ease, it's our established players that just can't seem to take on the game and play hot potato with the football, don't want the responsibility of making a game-winning play. All they need to do at training is teach him how to kick through the ball and traditional techniques.

Part of the reason why our kicking inside 50 was garbage was because our forwards were just stationary. No movement, no leads, just standing there. The other part was because they were just blind bombing it inside 50.

Battled hard but never looked like our game. Anaemic goal kicking. Forward line output is less than the sum of its parts for some reason - is it our ball movement/ delivery?

Not the end of the world but we aren't good enough to miss easy goals and beat many sides.

There was no way Goldy was going to beat TDK around the ground. We missed Draper tonight and we need to find another ruckman who's competitive.

Voss learned from last year and had Merrett tagged everywhere. He needs help. Oppo teams were shown after HT what happens when you also tag Martin.

Wright needs another KF there.

Menzie looked good up the ground as he did at times vs. GC.

Duz was great and will get better. Caldwell was great too.
Liked Guelfi's game.

We have one playing in the VFL, Caddy but we're too piss week to pick him. Why he wasn't selected for this game has me F###ked.

Put Jones to a wing where he can use his running to greater effect, not Kelly not Tsatas but JONES...

What did we give up for Gresham? Zach Williams only started playing forward n he's miles ahead.

The worst part about this performance is that the blues played well below their level. Forwards didn't get ahold of us. Stars in the middle had off nights.

Doesn't matter. Floor our forward 50 and we lack any type of coordination. We bomb it on top of the heads of our forwards who do not compete and it bombs out.

Interesting developments that we have been playing like shit and still dominating field position. I'm a little frustrated that we struggle to get even numbers forward of the ball, but I wonder if that's strategy to keep numbers back to slow their ball movement on counter.

Forward connection is our biggest issue right now, just no cohesion between our mids and forwards and also the positioning of our talls and smalls. Wright has turned into a pea heart since his shoulder.
Kelly being played as a forward is just moronic

60 inside 50s to 40, 4 more scoring shots results in a 26 point loss. Our forwards have been crap. Wright, Langford, Gresham and Stringer have collectively kicked 3 goals vs Gold Coast and Carlton.

That's an indictment!

Playing at about our expected level. Had a decent fixture and barely got over the line over some awful sides. Sitting in second with such a low percentage tells you where we’re at. Not end of the world stuff, just an average side still building up.

Got absolutely slaughtered on turnover and couldn’t buy a goal. We matched it in every other part of the game.
Not our time yet, we all knew our spot on the ladder was flattering us.

On to the players:

I can't really fault our backline when it is our mids that time and time again don't push back hard enough to cover a loose man. That being said Kelly is such a bog average player that we need to move on from him, Laverde offers so much more than he does.

Nic Martin should never play in defence again, hell I would ban him from going inside the oppositions 50 the amount of times he leaves his man who scores an easy goal.

is what he is, plays a few great games then settles down in to mediocrity like Andrew Phillips.

Goldstein again completely monstered at centre bounces by a younger more athletic player in De Koning, he wasn't bad around the ground but we are so handicapped in the middle right now.

Wright... take a ****ing mark, you are huge with a presume big hands. GRAB THE THING! We would get more out of him by making him a full time ruck.

Setterfield, hurt again. He is not worth persisting with, tough luck but we cannot keep him on the list.

Menzie, honestly he wasn't bad but he will never be more than a C grader.

Jones and Cox need to be involved more consistently, good things happen when they get the ball.

Tsatas. Being the sub is never easy but he is looking like becoming a bigger bust than Francis.

Won the territory battle for long periods but couldn’t deal with carlton playing extras behind the ball and counterattacking like its serie a. I think we play actually better without a +1 behind the ball, have played worse when ridley has come back in. Scoring with a -1 in the forward line relies on more run and carry which our mids struggled to do, lacked line breaking pace. I suspect we won on expected score but the reverse happened when we played them last time
