Love it he shows a random 3 screenshots and doesn’t say when in the game they are from. I’d say all first qtr before they flooded. Where’s the other 60 odd minutes of video footage showing they didn’t flood oh that’s right it doesn’t exist because that’s exactly what they did and it doesn’t fit your anti Richmond narrative does it Sam!

I can show several minutes of gameplay where the swans had 5+ loose in defence each time Richmond went into forward 50.

That still does not explain why our players did not target Balta and Short outside of 50. Wait for Balta and Short to roll up if necessary, and when close enough outside of 50 launch for goal after a mark or receipt of the ball. What is there not to understand? I have not watched the replay yet but this is another reason why I do not understand why Balta is not the perfect plus one in the backline?

At least the opposition has to respond possibly coming out to stop Balta and Short giving more space for JR, Lynch and others in forward 50!!

Lol at Horse saying that to rectify it, all we had to do was man up for the 6 6 6.

1: 6 6 6 is only enforced after a goal is kicked. 6 6 6 only happened 8 times. The first bounce and after the 7 goals.

2: Even if we manned up, you still had at least 15 players in our D50. You flooded and parked the bus. The vision confirms it.

Cop it on the chin. Dimma was right. One team tried to attack. The other was just happy do defend and limit the damage. Only one side tried to win that game and it wasn't your mob.

its in Sydney ?

Dim Sim Dimma is being a massive hypocrite complaining about the Swans defence when he's a defensive first coach himself, did it hard core against the Magpies in round 2.
U r dum

Btw
I was being facetious

Dimma is not defensively minded.
Dimma is basically using the full court press.
We attack and pressure the ball carrier and do everything we can to win the ball back when we dont have it so we can quickly score on the counter attack.
When we are on, our forwards attack oppo defenders in our own forward line.
Something impossible for the swans to do with ZERO players in their forward line

We get players back into defence but then slingshot fast out of the backline. Sydney decided to chip sideways instead. Horse seemed to miss that when he said that we also get players back

Interested, in how the match looked live.

Were the Swans tactics even more noticeable?

Hey mate! I'm not sure I agree with Dimma about Sydney just bottling it up. But you know, he is paid the big bucks and I'm in the cheap seats. Had a really good position though on the 50m arc and I saw plenty of good size holes in our forward line, it looked like they were being set up for Lynch and Jack to run into, but they just didn't. Not saying it was all the time, but three or more a quarter went begging I would estimate. Big holes too. The Swans did body check a fair bit, but with their limited size they had to, to be fair. Would have done the same myself a hundred times against bigger ops.

It looked like we cruised a bit after the early 3 goals. Dusty got some ball but butchered giving it. Lambert was good and your boy Shai tried to do the usual classy stuff but just struggled with the greasy wet conditions. It was quite warm early on in the game. You know that warm dewey sort of early evening - some early misty drizzle then 10-20mins later the rain.

Grimes was so good covering for two or three men at times. Vlossy very manfully did his job and Broady had some good run and covers off the ball that you don't get to see on TV. Balta not as good as last week but still looked like he belonged. I think the conditions had a lot of player second guessing a bit. I wouldn't base too much on that game. Tape over it!

Cheers mate.

I wondered about Dimma's comments a bit, I saw us hurry kick into the Fwd line way to much, that hardly had any players theres, but the 2/3 to 1 Swans players, but nothing different to that. It was clogged from stoppages though. Our Smalls just didn't seem to get to the fall of the ball in entires into 50's.

So what is your thoughts on Rioli, to e, he just is so out of form, he either doesn't know how to find the ball, or lazy.... and with 0 tackles in a wet contested game I went with Lazy first.

I liked Broad's game and Vlas obviously, but Broad knows where to be and is reliable coming out of 50.
