Dim Sim Dimma is being a massive hypocrite complaining about the Swans defence when he's a defensive first coach himself, did it hard core against the Magpies in round 2.

That’s funny, because if you watched that game, you’d know pies shot out to a lead, than flooded our forward line trying to hold the leadfor 2 quarters. At least be accurate.

Cheers mate.

I wondered about Dimma's comments a bit, I saw us hurry kick into the Fwd line way to much, that hardly had any players theres, but the 2/3 to 1 Swans players, but nothing different to that. It was clogged from stoppages though. Our Smalls just didn't seem to get to the fall of the ball in entires into 50's.

So what is your thoughts on Rioli, to e, he just is so out of form, he either doesn't know how to find the ball, or lazy.... and with 0 tackles in a wet contested game I went with Lazy first.

I liked Broad's game and Vlas obviously, but Broad knows where to be and is reliable coming out of 50.

The other thing is Horse reckons we shifted a forward into our midfield and the Swans kept their back six in tact creating the outnumber in our forward line.

This is where we have a problem with team balance at times and role players. Balta and Short could play forward also. If they drift outside the fifty they are still a threat and can be utilised by kicking goals outside of fifty.

I still have to see the replay but to me the Swans and Richmond game highlight our underutilisation of Balta and Short to me!!

See Hugo Ralph Smith is a long kick to but he is just starting but it just highlights we need to improve and bring more diversity into the way we play through our on field team. Even RCD gives us options including running goals through 50

Bring in some experience, O'l Hugo. Surely he'll break the record for most games.View attachment 911710

In all seriousness Rioli needs to go out.

Kmac and the Fridge good, Pickett good, wasn't as bad as some were making out...
Tell me which duds gave Rioli not one vote but 5 votes for F..ks sake he was terrible on Sunday his worst game and I am a Rioli fan but he must be dropped

Agree no idea how VBlongneck gave rioli a vote... troll city!!

BUT

You gave balta a vote? People would question that too...

I dont blame Longmire for his tactic's and what was he meant to do ? Let his team get smashed by 10 goals

Hardwick needs to find an alternative coaching method to penetrate their backline and 1 way to doing this would have been bringing our tall fowards to the 35-55mtr range from goal where then their defenders would have needed to follow and there is more room to move whilst still being in range of a shot at goal.

Riewoldt / Chol / Lynch was parked 10-30 mtrs from goal every time we went foward. Silly coaching by Dimma Imo

Oh for goodness sakes, why did Richmond go a 5 man forward line and play a forward in the middle of the ground and then continue to kick it to the spare swans defender all the time which I think was Mills.Poor coaching by Hardwick and should have realised that tactic was not going to work and then have a crack at Longmire after the game. But well done to him and ringing Longmire with a apology.

Did anyone else notice a number of times one of the boys would receive the ball, turn around and find an open paddock begging to be run through, hesitate, start running a couple meters then offload the ball too quickly? That shit me more than the flooding.

Yeah but it's tough when you look up and there are 75,000 in our forward 50!

Yeah fair point, but it happened mainly in the defensive half, the entire middle of the ground was empty. Could have run a bit further up, try and draw players up out of the flood, but it seemed like we were willing to go straight by foot into the flood rather than use our speed and agility in space to gain even more ground. Not a huge deal, just seems like a few of the boys have forgotten their weapons. Just missing that extra 10 or cent of confidence or something. Having shedda and Houli out didn't help.
