we are seeing teams flood a lot against us this year. yeah its a shit tactic but we also have to be smart enough to try and do something about it rather than playing into it. there were so many times we marked around 70 out and just kicked it 40m back to a contest. we were never going to take many marks in those conditions, and with 20 at the drop of the ball the smalls werent going to have room to do much.

id like to see us bring short further forward and play dusty around the 50m arc, and when we take those marks 70m out try to go short and dob a few from long range. even rioli can kick a long goal and maybe it will get him into the game more. even if we only kick 1/5, thats still better than what we have been doing. at the very least when the oppo panic kicks it out its landing around the 50 arc instead of the wing.

**** yea they did , we can’t escape though that we need to play smarter. I’ll email the club my Howitzer plan for a start. To have surplus +20 i50 and only win by 8pts or not win at all means we re breaking down which is pretty well that link between mid and forward line . This may surprise a few but the forwards are a bigger fault than the mids. Jack needs to find another gear and the form of our smalls is well reported on here
