I don’t think we are going to though unfortunately. Apart from the midfield, Lever and May have been a problem for us even when we had Lynch. I don’t see Riewoldt, Soldo, Ryan and Miller doing anything notable to them.

So maybe we need to do something really risky and get an edge over them at ground level instead. I don’t know tbh, but maybe it could work

Yes, you can’t bomb away into forward line with May and Lever. But it happens time and time again. We need lower our eyes going forward.

I doubt we do though and I think Miller stays in as a negating forward on Lever. If Jack has a bad game May will likely control deep entries and we lose.

Watching the replay. I was probably harsh on Miller. He did some nice things, certainly enough to hold his spot. Should've had at least 1 more goal and another goal assist if not for poor mistakes from team mates.

Balta will be the best key defender in the comp next year.

Soldo is the best backup ruck in the comp after Grundy. Looks like he has got his agility back. I thought we'd never see him and Nank in the same team again but we may just see it on a couple of weeks. Really hope he hangs around next season.

I mentioned a bit about my theory on momentum during the week and I reckon it was clarly demonstrated today. We had control of the game, about to go further in front and then for whatever reason Miller decides not to kick from 10 metres and handball off to Cotch. I hate that.

He misses, as he was under a bit of pressure and then the ball goes down the other end for a goal, and then another and another.

It was us getting ahead of ourselves, doing fancy s**t. We'd taken over the game, reeled in the lead against a team we reckon we should beat. Blowing that opportunity leaves you a bit flat and the opposition get a kick out of it.

Anyway, we got away with it.

Thankfully, we chose Coulthard as sub. We don't win without that.

I think we still had momentum after that brain fade, the real killer was Rioli dropping the mark that lead to Broads htb call.
