Re: Robert harvery inspirational stories

Hi Emmo, It wasn't Harv's archillies, it was his plantar fascia:

Harvey floor-banger: don't try this at home

Robert Harvey's rather drastic action to "cure" his plantar fascia problem, described so graphically on Thursday's Footy Show, was not so crazy as it sounded. The plantar fascia is a band of ligaments that runs along the bottom of the foot. It can be injured in two ways. The most common is plantar fasciitis or inflammation of the fascia. This occurs as a result of overuse and leads to pain and tenderness at the attachment of the plantar fascia to the heel bone. This can sometimes lead to the formation of a heel spur. The less common injury to the plantar fascia is a part tear, an acute injury that is associated with sudden onset of pain, bruising and swelling.

Wow i have a bit of a lower back problem if you wouldnt mind having a look at that for me.Could have sworn Fraser Gehrig had something like that and in the end jumped off a chair to snap it?

Re: Robert harvery inspirational stories

I recommend you jump off a table & land on your back - should sort you out in no time!

I think Fraser actually put up with the condition - I didn't hear of Fraser jumping off the table. May have taken a tumble off the wagon though ...

Strangley the name stephen and something reminding with "torrents" sprung into my mind when I read this post...

Emmo, there's the classic story of Banger obsessively running, running, running everywhere from Brighton to Mordialloc, much to the chagrin of the coaching staff. He was so obsessed, they asked fans to call up the club if they ever caught him running, and they'd go pick him up! Apparently they got calls all the time...

I don't suppose you want to swap jobs?

In the Robert Harvey magazine that is out at the moment there is a bit about him getting in trouble for excessive training.
Seems the players were being told not to do any training outside the official practice, but the club would keep getting reports of sightings of Robert Harvey jogging along beach road.

Only show the 05 qualifying final as watching the second half may put you or any st kilda fan into a trance with images of darren jarman scarring your dreams for weeks on end possibly leading you to to smack any ugly, short haired prick with big ears you see on the street

True riddler, but what a game he had that day...

I'm all for watching the game if we edit out all highlights of Darren Jarman (who my old man still has number 1 on his list of people to shoot if he bought a gun) actually edit out the whole Adelaide side and i'll watch it every second day....if only the 97 gf tape was as worn out as my 97 prelim tape

Slightly off topic but i've got the Pies game on my ipod and i think that's one i'm gonna be watching quite a few times over, hopefully that'll be replaced by this week's game...

On Rob Harvey stories how about just talk about what a family man he was and what a great person in general but also for the fans.
