AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Was seen at Whitten oval yesterday. Perhaps having a talk with former teammate Luke Beveridge? This is no idle gossip - my wife works there and spotted him.
Yessssss Harvey please move on has not set the world on fire at all.................Hello Brenton Sanderson once he gets to Collingwood watch the entire dynamic of the coaching staff change for the better and a great right hand man for Bucks with Neil Balme in the background....come on Harvey see ya bring on Brenton
I would say he hasn't set the world on fire at Collingwood and maybe I'm alone, but I wouldn't bat an eyelid if he moved on.
Did he really? Well I didn't know that.You're right. He won Assistant Coach of the Year last year but he didnt win anything this year. Obviously, he's gone completely downhill in the last 12 months.
Did he really? Well I didn't know that.
Doesn't change my point - we had many deficiencies last season but the midfield was as poor as I've ever seen it at Collingwood IMO. I don't think we were injury ravaged in the mids compared to the forwards/defenders so I was very surprised to see us go backwards here. I understand that our rucks were and still are young but I saw nothing from the midfield to really excite me.
Just my opinion of course and this takes nothing away from Harvey being one of the greatest midfielders to play the game - just I won't lose any sleep if he leaves.
And isn't Robert Harvey a key component of midfield structure and set-up though?Lots of reasons why, but certainly our structures in the C/square and around stoppages weren't up to scratch.

The website has him listed as assistant coach (midfield) along with Scotty Burns. I just thought that a guy who probably has started in the centre square more than any other coach/player at Collingwood he would be most adapt at coordinating the midfield group including set-up.I though Scott Burns is our midfield coach, and Harvey our Senior Assistant Coach.
I think we need to boot Scott Burns as well.....
In fact, while we're at it, we should think long and hard about the senior coach too...
(2) I don't understand the love for Sando?!? He was let go by Adelaide for good reason.
This one frustrates the hell out of me. It would be a big fat mistake to bring that personality into our club. People need to go over to the Adelaide forum and read about some of why he got fired. And then ask themselves if we need that at our club.

Agreed and unsure the club could deal with having he and Buckley. I am a Buckley supporter, but having those two work together could be dangerous with the player coach relationships.
He was spotted at Essendon training today;
Seems like he's just on a club by club tour checking out training techniques. Obviously sitting there with a few of our other coaches too.
