Hmmm Carlton's former Director David Campbell is a partner at Egon Zehnder. Nice that he found a way of profiting from the appointment of Bolton.
I think Essendon used an agency for the recent appointment ( dis-appointment ) of their GM.

Honestly with the photos it's just great to see the boys have been down there early before pre-season getting stuck in. I've got a great feeling about Clark this year he's a talented player and Ross will know how to use him.

Way back we used to have training/track reports both on here and on SS. There was a solid bunch of track watchers. Closed sessions became a thing and I can’t say I have seen too many of those type of posts for a long time.

Track watching is going to be mighty interesting from now on. Who are our training reporters this pre-season?

I used to do them regularly. Because of the some on here I thought why bother. Will get down to training this summer, but will probably not bother on the forum.

Want to get a look in at how Ross is communicating with the players and the way he delivers his messages. More than happy to post updates for the rest on here on the occasions I do get down there. Been a few years, don't think I've been since 2019 perhaps. Hopefully the club remains open as it did under Richo and Ratts.

I'd be prepared to accept that Ross Lyon is unemployable due to past indiscretions, but surely Channel 9 would have done their due diligence, and if they somehow failed and Ross Lyon really is so terrible, Caroline Wilson would have walked out in disgust and stood on her principles.

Seriously, does Crikey man really think Ross Lyon should not be employed in any role anywhere ?

I have no idea where this narrative on Clark and billings comes from but hey don’t let the facts get in the way.


Free from injury it looks like both cover plenty of ground and you can’t do that without being fit. Both put their heads over the ball etc in fact just a fantasy narrative imo, can’t see Lyon having a problem with either of them.

They shouldn't have re-signed Ratten. I understand why they did, but that was the only mistake the club made in this situation.

Sacking him was the right move, and I'm happy we landed Lyon. Beyond happy.

After watching the press conference I have no doubt Ross will be able to achieve 100% buy in from all the players.
I love his absolute no fuss let’s get to work attitude and let’s put the right people in the right places to get the job done.
Ross talks I listen and I have absolutely no doubt the players will also.
