why do we always get the bulldogs round 1!
I'm sick of this shit. Why should Carlton and Richmond have the opening game when they were deplorable last year and the other team was pantsed in the finals.
Give that game to the reigning premier like they do in the NFL.

I was there too. Was indeed a bad time.
Because we're rather shit and not exactly blockbuster material right now either. The opening game is like the one thing richmond have to look forward to all year.
I'm not complaining about getting the dogs for the 3rd year in a row or whatever, it makes Masto, JK and the rest of the flat track gang think they are cool as **** for a week.
Will probably win this game by quite a lot. Who cares about Boyd (or any FF for that matter) when you have Emac. Bulldogs have gone backwards and we will have improved.

Why the hell does the AFL make us play the Bulldogs every round 1? I know we don't have many other interesting match up prospects save for Freo but still they could at least make us play someone like Essendon or Adelaide in round 1 which would make our match at least remotely interesting.

Even now I would expect us to win this by more than 5 goals.

Saturday night game, that's perfect.
Against a poor opponent too, gives the 'flat tracks' another fantastic start to 2015.
Probably will be premiership favourites after a 10 goal win

If Wce can win the 1st game great , I'd prefer to play the Bulldogs early and hope to get a few early wins on the board to build confidence in the group .

Different year now with Simpson's changes to the game plan started to reAp rewards at the end of 2014 .
Wce were charging and looking ominous , a total opposite to the side that finished 2013 imagine getting belted by Adel at home or the Collingwood debacle .

Ahh yes meant the changes to the game plan when the players started to BELIEVE .
The concerning thing for mine was when one of the players interviewed put our mini revival down to a lack of pressure because the season was considered a write off.
Then as soon as Essendon started hunting us we turned to jelly and the rest is history.
I think our side has massive mental/psychological issues more so than physical ones.
We looked a million bucks in the NAB cup and against the minnows early on, but we cannot deal with pressure.
Why is that?
No Griffen and Cooney means this could be a bit of a pumping. Wonder if Suma gets the gig and it is a Suma v Simmo match.

The simplist answer would be I feel the team lacks a true inspirational leader that can lift the side when the chips are down .Nic nat has those qualities but is never really 100 % fit ,Hurn lacks confidence to be that player but is one that can do it .

There was only one really bad loss which was against Geelong which was due to injury (or sickness at the time). The rest I'd say would come down to new gameplan + poor match readiness.
