should I either A) Keep him and hope he gets picked in the next few weeks
B) Take a punt and get Eli Templeton
C) Downgrade Leuenberger to Hale or Jacobs to upgrade Crouch to Michie
D) Downgrade Liberatore or Watson to a 500k-545k midfielder (and which one) possibly NDS, Priddis, Ziebell, Stanton or Stokes

I'm considering keeping him. His brother Brad didn't get named round 1 last year and everyone panicked. Then he was named from round 2 onwards and made some good cash.

Langdon would be the 7th or 8th best rookie option as a mid. If you selected him there instead of defense, you've cost yourself already. Keeping a non selected rookie is a double whammy.

I'm contemplating the exact same thing, all my other rookies are playing and have good JS. But we don't know if he'll be named or not next week. If Robertson is named I'm jumping on that train.

No I didn't but I agree he's a great choice. The problem is that there are a lot of good rookie choices in the midfield and since I'm going with a 5-0-5 structure I can only choose 5. I rate Dunstan the 7th best choice and since Kelly and Crouch have missed selection he now gets a gig. There are still a couple of others I'd like to have so I won't be unhappy to see more miss a game and become downgrade targets instead.

Dunstan & anywhere between 30-80k savings has to rate better than 7th best mid,

I'd reckon safely before those 2, JS a big factor, plus the extra coin (ex. Crouch),

I've already taken value into account. For example Crouch would have been number 7 on my list if they all cost the same, but his low price lifted him to number 3. JS is a big issue but being sure they play in round one helps to negate that.
