If people are using the preseason game as a benchmark for Freo's performance they are going to have a bad time. Freo will be pushing for a grand final this year and will look very scary.

GWS are getting better but they aren't quite out of the bottom 4 material yet. They will be scary in 4 years time.

Gold Coast Vs Richmond 38pts 29K

People seem to constantly underrate Richmond and I have no idea why. I still don't think Gold Coast are a threat to the top 8 while I can definitely see Richmond hitting the 8 again this season.

Carlton Vs Port Adelaide 20pts 42K

Fanboyism. I could justify my decision but coming from a fan it will look like blatant pandering to my team.

Geelong Vs Adelaide 25pts 33K

Adelaide are going to be strong this year. I think Sando hasn't made the same mistakes he made last year in the pre season and they have supplemented their forward line until Walker is at full strength again. Betts was a fantastic pick up and although I'm still wary on Pods, he is definitely better then what they had last year. Absolutely superstar midfield as well. I generally hate it when people constantly hark on about Geelong falling out of the 8 but I don't see them winning this. I feel Geelong will hit somewhere between 5-8 this season, but will be back to their top 4 side self in no time at all.

North Melbourne Vs Essendon 25pts 45K

I still don't get the hype behind North Melbourne and until I see them stop running out of gas in the fourth quarter, they aren't a finals team to me. They could prove me wrong, but with Bomber Thompson at the helm of Essendon and with Essendon's list, I can see them hitting the top 4 with ease.

Hawthorn Vs Brisbane 50pts 25K

Hawks hit a grand final proved that they didn't need Buddy to succeed in a few games last year. Their young talent looks great. I'm giving Brisbane 2-3 years to find their feet and recover successfully. I seriously couldn't give two shits about what any Brisbane fan says, the amount of people who left the Lions last year is not normal and is nothing to do with the players being 'mommys boys' and I think with the changes they've been making to the management structure they will become a premiership threat again, given some time.

St Kilda Vs Melbourne 20pts 38K

Paul Roos at the helm and a good list I can see Melbourne winning this one.

West Coast Vs Western Bulldogs 20pts 44K

I hate underrating the Bulldogs but I think West Coast will find their 'spark' again and be on the way up. Bit uncertain about this one tbqh.

Also, purely out of curiosity, how have you come to the conclusion of the magpies winning by such a large margin over a grand final team of last year? Likewise the margin of GC beating Richmond by.

Aaaahm have a look at Collingwood v Freo games at the MCG recently. This game will be doing well to pull 42k, Collingwood fans hate Etihad if you haven't already noticed?!

I think this game will be very close, 10 points either way. If it was at the MCG, Collingwood would win, but Etihad I'm not so sure.

Only way that will happen is if 10,000 tiger fans decide to make the trip up. Weather should still be good that time of the year. Not a bad excuse for a weekend away.
