Would like to add Clarke for KMac as i think that side is still too slow and I would keep Naismith bc Nakkers could blow up or get injured after a long time off. Kosi offers nothing to our team let alone our FL and he should go instead.
Naismith for Ryan that low TOG role. We don't tend to play 3 KPFs so Kosi is first out

Kmac is wing only, don't need Pickett and Kmac on the bench. I don't think Yze has Ross in yet. TBH he's been a great SUB. Banks is a bit green.

watch Campbell really go for his marks and kick goals was great. Dusty up fwd helps, maybe Bolton more mid is enough change

no one injured was a plus.

Dow probably gives way for Martin

Both Grimes and Broad have been great players for our club but the end is nearing, Grimes is almost there.
Both gave away crucial goals in that last qtr.

Here are their stats for round 0
Grimes
, 8 disposals, 62DE%, 4 contested, 5 marks, zero tackles, 5 pressure acts, 65 meters gained = 8 meters a possession. (bad day at the office)
Broad, 9 disposals, 44%DE, 1 contested, 6 marks, 3 tackles, 10 pressure acts, 294 meters gained (average performance also), but marginally better than Grimes)
This is Grimes problem, when he gets the ball everything stops. Played to long with Hardwicks chip and hold mentality of the last few years and looks clueless with the ball in hand. 8 disposals @ 8m each is ridiculous. Broad at least got on his bike and is part of a mobile backline. Grimes did a few nice things, contested marks for example, so not a liability, but when you need to be bold sometimes his isn't.

changed my mind... gonna loose by 10 goals
10 goals might be little light on sadly - this just smells to me like one of those classic Richmond shits the bed on the big stage on prime time results
Bloos as usual are flying early in the season and lapping up the media love.

Maybe I'm still bearing old old old scars....

Genuine thoughts on that deliberate against Broad? I didn't watch the game so can't comment much, but have seen the highlight. Did that not rob us of a decent chance at still winning the game?

Yes and No, could've gone either way. I find the umps to be more strict on "rules" in the early rounds. A similar incident like this won't be paid as the season progresses.

I only saw the second half but we were cooked. GC was able to effectively slow down the game so I don't think we were ever in with a chance. So while it was a howler of a decision I don't think it made any real difference to the outcome.

TBH I thought it was there and as soon as he went over the line, I said to my old man "That's deliberate"... He had enough time to just hack it out of there before he got cornered.

It was the proper decision by the letter of the law and should be paid. The issue is that we have commonly seen those not paid so I think we just hope for consistency for the rest of the season.

Pretty sure it was the Grimes one that caused the killing to momentum

I hope they play Koschitzke from the sq and Balta higher if Lynch doesn’t play and doubt we’ll be dropping Grimes.
Playing against two Coleman medalists with Gibcus and Young we need all the exp we have.
Pickett dropped and swap Dow for Ross.
Campbell deserves another, played alotve his juniors as a HHF and looks like he can still do what he’s good at in the higher level.
Miller in.

Outs
Ryan, Pickett, Naismith, Dow
Ins
Nankervis, Miller, Martin, Ross
Sub
Dow

Looked deliberate as **** at the time to me. He was under no pressure when he first got the ball, his indecisiveness caused the pressure. I yelled out 'you can't do that you idiot' as soon as he walked back over the line.

No issues with it, as long as every other instance is umpired the same way this season.

Kosi is sh*t. If he plays and has another 4 disposal 0.0 game I will end up like Mario from Doncaster

Balta and Lynch up forward could either be unstoppable or a complete f*cking disaster.

Need some speed in the middle or we are f*cked

We are in trouble, me thinks..
I am still wondering what we saw in Kosi to trade for him.

I hope for him to show something but, I haven't seen anything yet.

Umps went letter of the law..
we wanted..

“... THE VIBE OF IT. IT’S THE CONSTITUTION. IT’S Footy. IT’S JUSTICE. IT’S LAW. IT’S THE VIBE AND AH, NO THAT’S IT. IT’S THE VIBE. I REST MY CASE.”

Looked pretty good V Melbourne? Kicked a couple goals, took a handful of marks and got involved in the play up the ground. Hard to properly judge a key forward with the way our midfield performed on the weekend, especially a lead-up key forward. Lynch coming in should help him massively.

I think the club got him to basically be a fill-in for now, until we trade or draft the next big thing.

Our key position forward stocks are dire so we got someone in with good size (198cm) who has shown they are the very least capable at AFL level, but that's all. We knew what we were getting, although I'm sure there was some hope he might be better than he was at the Hawks. He still might turn out reasonable, but yeah I'm pretty sure he is just a stopgap.
