Not making excuses at all as Hawks were the better team and deserved the W but there was a holding free against Andrews late in the 4th that was very sketchy.

Adams' form has masked how Andrews and Gardiner have dropped off. Both were liabilities and looked completely lost out there. Thought Payne looked more solid than Gardiner back there.

Mitchell is a smart coach and worked out we're vulnerable on the rebound for pace and resetting so every time they got an opportunity they just went for it and got so many easy goals.

We were over 3 goals up twice during the game so if we want to be a flag chance we don't muff it from there against this opposition. We were just lazy at the end of the third ,didn't run hard enough ,tackle hard enough or were desperate enough.

It's not the end of the world but we do have deficiencies that can and will be exploited by good teams. Unless we have another hard running midfielder who runs both ways then we can't pull one out of the hat with the guys we have rotating through the midfield because they're all offensive players.

We had a some of 'guns' who were abominable today. I won't name them except to say I can forgive Hipwood second up , let's hope we don't get a repeat.

Another thing that hasn’t been discussed is that was our 4th away game out of 5 - GC, Syd, Bris, Adl, Tas - not looking for excuses but it really did feel like we just completely hit a wall late in the third. I was thinking it looked a bit unlike us.

I reckon we will enjoy home, Perth, home, bye - though if we don’t get players back - for Freo (away), Saints, Melb (away) we could Really struggle.

Andrews and Gardiner give there opponents too much width. Looks great when you can pick up intercept mark after intercept mark. Looks terrible when you get done. Tonight we got done. The thing I like about Adams is he goes body on body and out marks opponents.

Harris has his supporters on here but he has been pretty average for a couple of years now. If he hadn’t had his AA years and been in the top 2-3 defenders in the league prior to that, I do wonder whether he’d cop more heat then he does.
