It's a pretty up & down season. We've been more consistent than most. Hawks in Tassie can be a tough ask. Swans rolled them down there pretty convincingly but have been nowhere since. Generally we've been a pretty professional side, taken care of Essendon at Marvel before Essendon knew they were shit this year, the Suns at Metricon, Swans in Sydney, and Adelaide in Adelaide.

They're not stupid to the vast majority of supporters or other interested parties.

I actually expected us to drop the Sydney game as the swans were flying a few weeks ago but I really thought we would have had the Hawks measure today.

It's a pretty up & down season. We've been more consistent than most. Hawks in Tassie can be a tough ask. Swans rolled them down there pretty convincingly but have been nowhere since. Generally we've been a pretty professional side, taken care of Essendon at Marvel before Essendon knew they were shit this year, the Suns at Metricon, Swans in Sydney, and Adelaide in Adelaide.

Well I think the question could've been better framed but what he was trying to say was were they good or were we shite.

I actually don't think they were that good , but they killed us on transition , got a dream run from the umps and nailed most of their opportunities. We played well enough in patches and got a 3 goal head start so it's disappointing to lose.

We have concerns coming out of the game but nothing we didn't know. It's obvious where we're lacking when we don't lock it in our forward line. Because we don't win it out of the centre clearance often enough to get killed on the rebound when we do.

We have some good players to come back and we probably should've won.

Though if I had to talk to Tom Browne for my work I would probably be a bit worse.

I can’t buy into the narrative that they were better than us tonight, if that is umpired anything above disgracefully we win. They barely scored a goal without the umpire being involved.

The three who people like the pick on the most Payne, Fullarton and Prior had good games. I had Prior in my top 5.

Our defenders are getting hammered but it was the speed that the Hawks could transition through the mid field that was the problem.

Our mid field looked flat footed and half paced. Always half a step behind so when the got the ball they were immediately under pressure.

Hawks would be moving as they took possession.

We need a break!!! And a home crowd. And I know everyone says playing in heat is problematic, but maybe playing in that kind of cold is problematic for we Queenslanders.

Disgusting effort. Broken tackles, long bombs, no team defence. Hope Fages has a good look at himself in the mirror tonight. Fish rots at the head.

I wouldnt go that far, but at the same time, I dont think this team is any chance of winning a flag anytime soon. Ive followed the Lions forever but I wouldnt say Im an astute footy person but compared to other teams Im watching at the moment we arent close to a number of teams. We are missing something or the players we have just dont have "it" and certainly wont beat the likes of Dees, Blues, Saints or even Cats or Tigers in Melbourne, so not sure how we can win the flag. 2019 or even 2020 were our best shots when we were up and about was a best chance. Shore, we were 8-1, but aside from beating Swans in Sydney, who have we beat and even then weve only been doing barely enough to win. Someone nailed it I think earlier when they said us winning has been papering over a lot of cracks. Absolitely.

Agreed, he doesnt even dominate VFL level yet gets picked in the AFL. I couldnt imagine him even dominating for Noosa in the QAFL. Again not sure how we are winning a flag if guys like him are getting a game.

I see it the other way. Shore it is a little extreme but I think Sizemattres only wants us to be the best we can and we just arent delivering. I think there is a lot of reading between the lines from that persons post and that perhaps we should be considering other options because things are all a little to comfortable at the club? Could have it completely wrong tho lol.
