Pressure was relentless just about every time they went to that pressure gauge thing it was showing elite. I was thinking this was fallen awesome and it did not let up.

And the noise I only really remember one very quick lull for the game. Memo to Port if you bring it we will give it.

Richmond to be congratulated for what they brought to the table such a great system and they play for each other.

How faaarken important is Butters. I now think when he gets the ball something is going happen here and it usually does. I also look for him on replay and it is incredible how many times he has the handball or the block or the bump or something else that's buttery that you can't describe unless you see it leads to a highlight.

I really believe our best can do it now. Will it I don't know but I am enjoying the journey.

Gray was excellent. You could see he is aging and slowing down, a few situations where e little bit of extra zip would have helped, but for most of the match he was fine. Still got it. The cream rose to the top.

Even earlier in the year when he looked physically shot, whenever he went into the middle his ability to change direction and always make the right decision in traffic looked a class above.

With any sort of base in his legs he’s still our best player by miles and miles.

Ironically, it was Butters and Rozee who targeted Gawn repeatedly in round 1 (their debut matches) last year. In fairness, Butters at least had done more in two preseason matches than McHenry has in two years.

they weren't targeting a known physical injury

So now that everyone in the press says we played the most entertaining game since WW1, will we get all the primetime slots for the rest of the season?

Didn't we spud up the st Kilda game last time we did?

Great win and I'm nearly convinced now we are real. Only thing in the back of my kind was how we go both teams at full strength? We dominated centre work but they were without Nankervis Prestia and Cotchin. I'll say any finals gonna be 50/50 we gotta play how we did tonight and go for it, we seemed hellbent not falling into the AO hole again like we did against St Kilda.

I just need to bring up a sometimes unpopular subject that some of my fellow posters have issues with and that’s the twilight Saturday night time slot. I love it because you get the best of both worlds - one half in daylight and the other under lights. The weather was perfect last night and therefore it suited our game. Please give us more of this time slot, thank you.
My absolutely favourite time slot.

Any gadget-type operators out there able to make a split screen side-by-side video or gif of the Ladhams and Dixon boundary goals?

A good win the only downer is that we should have won by more. If ever there was an example of why we need a kicking Coach it was that game.

Big Charlie is doing everything we want in getting the ball and monstering the opposition but his goal kicking action is poor as was pointed out by Dunstall during the commentary. As Dunstall pointed out Charlie is leaning back instead of leaning forward with head over the ball watching it onto the boot. A good kicking coach would correct that. One thing Jason Dunstall should know something about is kicking for goal after all he kicked 1254 of them.

The message is nothing new as it has been posted umpteen times before I just wonder that the Club has done nothing about it. Maybe they have and it hasn't worked?

Apart from the missed chances it was a good win with plenty of positives. We are finding new talent each week, this week it was Ladhams with Woodcock also showing that he has what it takes. On yesterday's performance from Ladhams I think Justin Westhoff maybe yesterday's hero. I can see Lycett and Ladhams playing out the rest of this year as a ruck/ forward combination. The FOXTEL team seemed to be rather shocked at Ladhams' performance but it should have been no surprise to Port supporters as Ladhams has consistently shown he has the ability to find the footy around the ground. In fact in 10 games Big Pete has averaged 15.7 disposals which is pretty useful for a 202cm big man. Yesterday was much like the old days of Lade and Brogan when we had a big man who could take telling marks around the ground, kick a goal or two and hurt the opposition.

Wasn't it just one cheeky slap at the start of the game? Not continuous targetting?
Just the one captured on camera...but where does the bad sportsmanship start - the second one?
For mine, targetting a guys injury is about as classy as staging. Play the ball.

What's good for Port Adelaide is good for football.

What a great game. The way we play and the way the Tigers play their Perpetual Motion Machine footy meant it was a high standard high quality game, not boring negative slow possession footy.

The footy world is saying what a great game it was. we don't need 25 radical rules changes to make the game as entertaining as ever. And having a decent passionate fns at the game helps.

We are so lucky to have 10,000 of our fans watch our team play at home, when most sports grounds and venues are empty or near empty.

The oppo will do everything possible to shut us down and make it into a boring grind but we finally might have the tools to stop it - provided some key players stay healthy.

fu** fu** fu** you Kayo.
Have been trying last night and this morning to watch replay of the game and blank screen.
No vision whatsoever.
Of all the ******* games.
Yep, you're not the only one who said that. I missed a lot of the second quarter and couldn't watch the replay early this morning

Watching the game on TV.

We have the most passionate and cutthroat supporters in this sport. I bloody love it.

“Have a listen to this crowd, they are going berserk over there, it’s madness. They’ll tear the place down!” - Eddie McGuire

“I’ve never heard this much noise from a crowd of 10,000. This is exceptional.” - Jason Dunstall

“10k? sounds like 100k! They love their footy the Port Adelaide fanbase, they are a bit like Turkish Delight, You either love em or you don’t really like em at all.” - Dwayne Russell

“I don’t really like them....,Turkish Delight that is.” - Mark Ricciuto

“That’s the problem with Port Adelaide fans in their great beauty, football is way too important.” - Dwayne Russell
Nah, it wasn't really loud, they played crowd noise over the loudspeakers to make it sound better (according to someone on the crows board whose friend was at the game). tbf if you're used to crows games the knitting needles normally make more noise than the crowd.

Don’t be such a cheapskate - get a Foxtel subscription and everything works perfectly. Just at the start of season login Port Adelaide as your favourite team and you will get every replay no worries. Even a dinosaur like me can set it up.
