Fagan's press conference was pure spin.
Jonathan Brown debut v Adelaide at the Gabba, round five, 2000Spot on.
You'd hope so because it offered no comfort whatsoever. You can only hope he's keeping it civil for media and scathing in internal reviews.
We will only get better if we learn something from that disasterThis loss is hard to stomach now but in the long run we'll better for it IMO, onward and upward to 2020 and beyond.
I’ve said it more than once this year - when our midfield gets beaten, it gets flogged. And when our forward line goes missing, it’s impotent. I’m not one for ridiculous statements after a horrendous loss and in all it’s been a decent start to the year. I really don’t see how you can justify that sort of a loss though. Need to tinker with a few things

Seriously?!? We’re having our best season in years and you want to change the coach??? Get some perspective!Tinker?
We've been embarrassed now at least twice too often. A Coach with an admitted philosophy of allowing out of form players to somehow find form in the Seniors. WTF? It's a ridiculous philosophy & has failed miserably. Teams can't afford passengers. The competition is too close. IMO its time to change the Coach. I still live in hope for finals this year, yet have now lost all confidence in the Coaching Dept. Lets get real, we're lucky we're not 4/8 and around 13th on the ladder. The Eagles had us on toast, Port looked to have us beaten deep in the last & we got out of jail against North. Love to be wrong but for mine the Coach needs a kick up the backside & a radical change of this insipid philosophy of not dropping certain players no matter how poor their form is. If he doesn't improve sack him in September & bring Scott or Voss in. Couldn't see either of them molly coddling out of form players & allowing them in the Seniors as passengers.
IMO its time to change the Coach.
I think he did.Laid the blame squarely on our midfield and when pressed on how you get beaten so badly he referred to effort and mindset.Which is what my thoughts on the game were a complete lack of intensity and effort by way too many players.Watcing not doingYou'd hope so because it offered no comfort whatsoever.
Seems pretty chuffed that we've won more than last year and so am I, but seemed pretty content that we're 7-5.
Well Chris, we should have been 9-3 or at the very least 8-4.
Would've been nice if he actually highlighted why we poor, who didn't do their job or what selections we got wrong with the side named for starters, but no, rolled out the usual BS cliches as he usually trots out.
How was Robertson awful? He was on McGovern who didn't really have an influenceArchie Smith needs to never play another game for the Lions. Robertson similarly awful. Also, if a second games can tag Cripps out of a game, why can’t one of our *******s.
Take care xo...oops, sorry. Perhaps I'm not seeing much humour right now.
Have I missed something?
I didn't get that from it at all, I got the vibe that he was seething underneath, he's hardly going to give individual players a bake publicly.Fagan's press conference was pure spin.
Martin was very ordinary today also.Sorry .. I quoted someone and it disappeared.
It is related to Archie and, I agree, it was cringe-worthy watching his impact today but this is his 2nd game in 2019. One would have thought that playing the bottom side would have been a good experience for him so I can understand why he was picked.
Anyhow the point I'm making is that he is in good company with others who had a shite start to their AFL career but eventually stamped themselves on the game. Given Stef's experience, I thought his set shot miss when the game was still in reach was far worse than Archie trying to make sense of the AFL deal.
