He didn’t say it like Sicily “should” get three weeks, more that he expects it’s what he will get. If anything, he gave the impression he thinks Sicily was unlucky.
To be honest I think this is where most people are at. The expectation is that Sicily gets done, not because he should, but because that's what has been happening all year.

Jay Z saying if referred to the tribunal, it's minimum 3.
Makes sense when you consider the various taxes.

+1 week because McCluggage got knocked out.
+1 week because Sicily plays for Hawthorn.
+1 week because Sicily is Sicily.

Good god man, I don’t give a toss who is in the side if we are winning flags. It’s takes all types
Fair enough I still cant believe the fact that Richmond carried that spud Jason Castagna to 2* flags and I want us to be
Better than that. Also I had a skinful yesterday at a BBQ in an unusual summers day in England!

Sounds like a hand pass from the MRO.

Might be a chance to get off if we can argue it wasn’t necessarily Sicily’s tackle that caused the damage!

What a ****ing joke this sport has become. Sent to the tribunal for tackling.

Outcome was unfortunate but not foreseeable when he basically pulled him straight downwards. If that was the Bont, Daicos or Dangerfield it wouldn’t even be looked at.

Club must appeal and use whatever lawyer Geelong use.

Any suspension for Sicily is a farce. I've said this before but I'll say it again - I love Hawthorn. I still will cough up the cash for the membership and follow them passionately. But I ****ing loathe the AFL and the state of the game.

So, with that said - how do we collectively punish the AFL for this? What's the best way to show that allowing players undertaking legal tackles in the spirit of the game (and remember, the spirit of the game lies it's competitive, physical nature) to be suspended is completely unacceptable?
If they really, truly don't want players to be tackled to the ground at all (and that's effectively where we're heading), then they need to change the holding the ball rules. I'm not for that, obviously, but maintaining the current rules and the time a player has to dispose of it actively encourages tackling players to do all they can to impede the opposition from freeing themselves to dispose of the ball.

Christ I hate this league. I love Hawthorn (and by extension the rest of the clubs), but I hate this league.

So, you practically can’t/shouldn’t bump anymore. A strong tackle can result in a suspension if a player goes to ground and bump their head. Next, you won’t be able to take a specky incase you knee a player in the head. The great game is in serious trouble.

Gaelic football anyone?

Jonathan Simpkin won a flag with us.
