David Zika didn't report much from the AFL legal response, but it basically amounts to "we are right and you are wrong, and we are rubber you are glue...".

"The AFL says the guidelines are not inconsistent with the Laws of the Game."
"Lisa Hannon (AFL) argues there was no error of law, no prioritisation of the Tribunal guidelines."

Yep, we made detailed arguments.

The AFL counsel said “yeah nah”, almost as if they know the decision has already been locked it.

So, am I right in assuming that the appeal process didn’t allow us to argue that Duggan was pulling away and his legs provided the force that “drove his head into the ground”?
I struggle to understand why all of these mitigating circumstances including Duggan’s propensity for concussions doesn’t appear to be taken into account particularly when in doubt Charlie gets sighted but for Duggan being concussed.

I know, but the AFL has assured everyone this is an open and shut case.

But they also probably want to give the illusion that there is debate and discussion going on too.
