Stupidly though, he’s 25 years old, got plenty of games under his belt, has size and endurance. I’d back him to win more contests against DeGoey than JOM or Aish. Both of which will get smashed.

Same here too. Would love for him to be a tagger. It works. Then that way Sturt comes in as well.
There’s no size in the middle. No flexibility. I mean Collingwood rotate players through- Daicos, De Goey, Crisp. Gosh they’re going to overwhelm the midfield by sheer size and pace.

Hughes isn’t tall enough. Thought Watson was alright through half back.

Things changed quickly. He played some good games for us. Hughes and Watson are similar size though. Think Hughes had already been signed.

Hughes is a better footballer Watson was ever going to be. People generally overrate newer players.

Thought Duman was a superior footballer to Watson tbh.

Watson wasn’t terrible but recruiting him made little sense as we had so many HBFs as it was.

Then we delisted both Watson and Duman together - now Hughes and Wilson are getting towards the end so we’ll eventually go full circle and have no depth in the position. The problem with this clubs list management in a nutshell. Always recruiting too many of one type of player and not enough of others,

Question: I'm going to see Freo v Collingwood this weekend.

Seems there is only limited sections available to purchase tickets and no General admission. I know there a plenty of Collingwood supporters but I wouldn't expect more than 50-60k on Saturday.

Any tips on tickets? Where do the Fremantle supporters sit?

It's worth wearing something neutral and sitting within the opposition team supporters if you're stuck with that eventuality.

You'll have a much more jarring perception of the crowd when you know you're in hostile territory but they are similar to our own.

If you can get lucky to find yourself near someone with a thick accent you'll have a wonderful time.

I will be absolutely livid if we Dale Thomas some players now who finish the season sore, go off on holidays to rest the ankle (let's say) and only when returning for preseason to they decide to get surgery to fix it - basically rubbing out the whole first half of next year for that player.

our hopes have been dashed after last week so i expect freo to do the freo thing and bring them back by beating the pies, undermanned, at the G only to then every other game
