We lost by 1 point to a team playing for their season, it is frustrating but come on, time for a rebuild? Pfft

P’raps people have had a gut full of seeing the same group of players making the same set of mistakes under the same circumstances on repeat. Maybe we do need to make a drastic list change.

We played against a side that brought the heat after a slow start and we wet the bed in response. Extremely disappointed.

We were miles off selling low on Beams. That was and always was going to be an insane return for someone hobbling through the season.

Witherden was arguably sold low, there was insane amounts of complaining, but worse would've been holding him and his overpayment of a contract.

Choke fc strikes again, but I’m remarkably calm about it. Seen too many of these games at the MCG.

The Tigers choke in 2022 and the dees choke last year were worse. At least this time I didn’t have any belief we’d get it over the line.

Bailey needs to watch some footage of himself. He’s clearly not as quick or strong as he thinks he is.

Given witherden’s output since I’m quite confident we sold rather high.

What has been evident all season is the utter selfishness of our forwards. Time and time again they take selfish low percentage option, Bailey and Daniher are the worst offenders by miles.

I also agree about missing finals but we won’t just so that we can have a full pre-season. We get beat time and time again the same way. Hopefully Berry’s hamstring is only minor.

Goal kicking is a cop out. We didn't deserve to win. Midfield was disgraceful today letting Collingwood stroll out the front of stoppage for the best part of two quarters. Harris looked p!ssed off last week and again today and you can't blame him given the way the ball is coming in and the lack of awareness his fellow backmen seem to have. Hipwood just isn't a good player let alone forward, Logan is already miles ahead of him in terms of craft and positioning. To throw salt on the wound Collingwood were absolute professionals when they took the lead and killed the game with repeat stoppages. I wonder why we can't do that. Shit way to end the season but after the first quarter I actually expected it.

this list has never had the ability to find another gear and turn things around when things aren’t going their way. When can this team developed some hard never die edge? Pies were ferocious without the ball.

I am still mystified that this team doesn’t have the mental strength to be #1. I can’t work that out myself (based on my own experiences with being a competitor in various sports and fields of work)

I know it feels like throwing the toys out of the cot and after sitting through 15 years of absolute shit we really should be grateful every chance we get at finals, but I must admit the excitement levels for this finals series will be pretty hard to get up for.

We ain’t winning the flag from the bottom half of the 8. The worst part is that over the past 2 weeks it’s been on us that effectively have thrown that chance away with miss after miss after miss.

Moving forward though losing an elim final with that as the backdrop may not actually be the worse thing for this group going into next year. Hopefully if nothing else they won’t take those first 6-8 weeks for granted as much and bank a few more wins instead of having to spend the rest of the year playing catch up.
