I was on my way to the Gabba and got called out to work. Looking at the performance now, I'm not as upset as I was an hour or so ago.

I had a feeling we might get up today too. Rocky coming back to show some leadership and the way the Weagles got pumped last week for 3 quarters. I thought we could get right up 'em but it doesn't look it so far.

There's only one player that would make a scrap of difference on that list and that's Hanley, the rest wouldn't impact us in anyway.

Merrett obviously but he would not be handling this situation well.

Rather surprised that what looked to be two excellent midfield signings in Premiership players D.Beams and Christensen would have given the Lions engine room a big boost, but today is really not looking good. Hard to fathom really, those two players are quality performers..

He's been terrible all year. His regression is concerning, been one of our most reliable for years and really had a chance to step up with Rocky and Hanley out.
