All this talk about squeezing in billings Clark and Jones, assuming they're available with the rest of the list, where else does our 22 need improvement?

Obviously not there yet but I'm not seeing any obvious weaknesses to improve. Maybe a second ruck/forward but hayes looks promising, an elite lockdown defender but our defender unit of Howard, battle and Wilkie look strong.

Haven't had this confident in the list for a long time.

We are having close tussles with other middling sides though so can definitely improve plenty still.

Billings and Jones coming in for Wood and Windhager is an immediate skills, smarts and experience upgrade.

Winning doesn't mean you can't make tweaks to the side you pick if talent becomes available.

It's amazing how good your list looks when you win

A quality key defender would be ideal

Wouldn't say no to another quality mid either

Surely you would check then, if you are going to say that Ryder is an average forward. He is a ruckman so even based on that he would not spend much time as a forward.
I don’t think I mentioned Ryder and his forward ability. I did mention Marshall and I didn’t need stats to say he is an average forward. I used my eyes. He pretty much averages the same amount of goals as gawn per game and I can assure you he has played a lot more forward than gawn.

Watching the replay, it really was just some poor skill errors from our defenders that stopped us being three or four goals up at half time. Howard and Battle mainly. Even Wilkie wasn't using it as well as normal.
It was 6.7 to 6.1 at half.
Reckon it was just accuracy that had us so close.
We had as many behinds as they had scoring shots then.
And not so much our inaccuracies as their 6.1

Suns brang some top notch forward pressure to our defenders.

But we we were always going to overrun them.

yeah our defence has been good, but still missing another big presence down there to help Doogs I reckon.
Cats and melb will be a test.

Max heath looked like he had some good highlights ok the weekend. What were his stats like?

I reckon Howard is struggling as well which doesn’t help. Was well and truely beaten by the hawks forward. Wasn’t beaten yesterday but didn’t provide much at all.

If you meant Marshall is an average forward especially this year, I would agree with you.
