They should be selling that its not mens football, and expecting scores to be the same as in mens is dumb. So, it isn't low scoring, its normal scoring, for womens football.
Comparisons to AFL probably aren't helpful. But it shouldn't be normal scoring. Scores should be on the increase as each year should bring skill increases. The league should be maturing as players focus more time and effort on developing their skills. One skill which is kicking for goal.

You're not sure if somebody on a women's football forum is serious when they state the opinion that a close AFLW game is better to watch than an AFL blowout... that's just a reflection on you, which nobody cares about.

It's not a standard AFL game it's the Grand Final. Just as an AFLW GF is more watchable that a standard AFL game even if it's a blowout.

Ok we disagree. Post cutting edge hashtags to convey your incredulity if that's what you really need to do to cope with an opposing view, but I'm just going to move on now.

Trying to imagine a world where Taylor Smith has a Leading Goalkicker medal, but Katie Brennan (who is on the medal) and Gemma Houghton don't.

It's hard, but at the same time, feels like it's becoming chillingly real.

Carlton benefit from another bullshit microchip moment. Pound absolutely did not touch that, her own reactions tell the story (half-hearted appeal, sheepishly fetches the ball after the umpire gets sucked in).

But no matter, because Houghton kicks her 2nd shortly following that and the Power are on their way. Definitely shouldn't lose from here against a McKay-less Carlton.
