We have kept both Melbourne and Collingwood goalless this year (both in second quarters weirdly enough). Just need to get this output for four quarters and we could really take a big step forward.

Lachie's ankle is a worry, limped through the latter half of that quarter, Big O is stuffed, Joe will need to take more ruck time in the 2nd half or Gawn will explode his influence.

Great half. Love the application and effort. Skills have been good for the most part too. Still haven't made nearly enough of our inside 50 entries tho (11 shots from 32 entries) which remains a huge issue longer term.

Oscar really tired late in the quarter and that showed with Melbourne dominating territory in the last 5 minutes or so. We deserved to hold them goalless for the quarter but we did get lucky with a few of their unforced skill errors and fumbles.

A great half, we deserve our lead, but the warning signs are definitely there. We will be challenged and we will learn much about our ability to play four quarters in the next 60 minutes.

You would think the Demons are going to get some momentum at some stage, if we stop a run of 3+ goals we should go on with it.

I like it when O bashes the ball directly forward from a stoppage ball up as we should be aware of it, BUT do not blindly hand ball it forward 20 meters from contested congestion please O.
