Yes, wasn't a fan of it either, let your footy do the talking. Not a hanging offence though.

When he has a clear role (either tagging or on a wing) he's a solid player. Makes him being the defensive cover in the first few weeks even more bizarre.

Will say as well - I was sceptical of zorko playing off half-back, but has to stay there the rest of the season now.

I wasn't that worried about him in the backline but I honestly thought it was time for him to give it away after the GF.

Clearly he's been carrying injuries the last couple of years.

Three goals in the first three quarters for Melbourne is beautiful defensive work. The last quarter wasn’t perfect but we put in the work in the first half of it after their first goal to put another two back on.

I’m not expecting Cam to do that every week, but I think it’s more than enough to give him most of the season in these types of midfield minutes and see if he can get 4-5 clearances a game which is really good for a rotating mid. He can average 15-20 touches a game for the rest of his career if he can do that.

Charlie had a great game, but might miss next week.

Lohmann impressed me more than last week which is great.

Answerth was good but still would prefer McKenna. He’s done really well regardless.

Gardiner I think does decent as the third tall. I said before to give it until halfway in the season to make a final call and I think it’s fair to give him that still. He won’t kick goals but he’s applying pressure and bringing the ball to ground. We have more than enough goal kickers, but maybe Morris keeps banging down the door and deserves a go anyway.

Payne has had a really good two weeks, and is finding his form now.

Happy with it. 10/10.

Great game from most really. Eric faded but him and Cam were outstanding in the first to really set up the win.

Lester was great again, really rate him now. Think Dunkley has been better the last couple of weeks and is starting to show that strong marking he offers around the ground.

Biggest positive was Charlie’s second half in particular as well. If we can get him back up and about then we’re a different team.

Oscar and Bailey probably our worst. We know what we’ll get with Oscar, he’s a foot soldier, but I think we need Bailey back to his best to be a legitimate top 4 chance.

I was quite impressed with Bailey. Was at the game up high and he was making lots leads but went unrewarded many times. Had a decent amount of touches and was putting a decent effort in. Zorks stuffed up often and Berry was good but a bit of a slow thinker and disposal decisions occasionally questionable. Good win but still along way to go especially entering forward line. Nice game by Dizzy n Lohmann. Achee very quiet. Big O not quite there yet.
