Cheers thats the big brain thinking I needed, I was doing simple Worpel to De Goey.

Is Pickett a trap?
I personally wouldn't go there (though it's more a structural thing for me), but he could make some cash as a stepping stone if needed. Absolute gun player, but still primarily playing his minutes up forward.

Petracca and Smith could get forward DPP next week. Add that to the likes of Dunkley, Gulden, Taranto, Rozee, Cameron, Sheezel, Ziebell, Moore, Cogs and maybe some others, and he's a fair way back in the keeper queue. His Round 1 score will only count in his rolling average this week, too.

Still, not the worst pick, just an awkward price to be bringing in at this point IMO.

I'd just keep it simple and do Jones > Michallaney/Tylar Young and Docherty > Stewart

You've got a strong midfield. No need to panic buy Oliver.
Jones to Michalanney doesn't give enough cash for that. Jones to Young does, but then Im fielding two of Wilmott, Cowan and Young lol. Maybe I do that if Constable somehow gets named after a good reserves game.

If Mackenzie gets dropped/rested, I'm tempted to use the Doc injury to finally nab my sweet Piggy ahead of Melbourne's ridiculous upcoming run, i.e. Doc -> T Young, Mackenzie -> Oliver.

Leaves me very weak down back for one round, but can then swing Sheezgull and/or Ziegull down back next week.

As I said earlier though, my trades will be very team-dependant this week. If Davey, Ginbey, Wilmot or Cowan don't play, the plans will shift a bit.

That being said, could just to Doc -> Stewart with the cash I have, but Melbourne play Essendon, Richmond, North, Gold Coast and Hawthorn over the next five. It sounds silly, but there's a very real chance that knocks out 700-750 points over that period, and the captaincy option he gives me makes the outlay worth it.

Originally had no trades planned and now the news of Docherty & Nankervis…thinking of bringing in either Sinclair or Stewart for Docherty and either Grundy or English for Nankervis.

So I have this absurd idea, I want to put it out there to some of your beautiful minds.

I have every week 28 players playing, which is great, only two that missed this week were constable and madden. It's good for cash gen, but my issue I'm having is the fact I have to guess every week who will be the highest scoring rookie as I have no loophole option anywhere but the back line.

Now I'm thinking of downgrading Mackenzie to a 102k mid/fwd who will not play in order to get me another loophole option and it'll also give me approx 191k in the bank enough to upgrade a rookie to a potential keeper/big stepping stone.

I could always go Mackenzie to JVR and have that cash gen, but I won't have that loophole I need in the mids.

I'm not playing league this season, just worrying about rank, currently got 34 trades left.

I value most of your posts and opinions hence why I want to ask here, cheers, kenties
Do not subscribe to this theory. Early cash gen is crucial.

too many Kozzie trades in this thread so I’m cooling on the idea.
…and most it based around the fact that Jiska said so.
sure he got Chandler right but what are the odds of it happening twice in one season.
Hahaha. Gold. Any also a stellar point. Stay away.

FMD my backline is decimated.

Doc to Dawson
Day to Saad

So Docherty and Day out. Not sure I can bench Day for 2 weeks. So far back in points and ranking. And Ginbey maybe rested.

Was hoping to move Jones along, but have to keep him now. All my fancy plans in the bin. Docherty was going anyway. Not looking my year in SC.

Yep any rookie who is not quite maxxed out but gets rested is probably fair game. I might get rid of Ginbey this week if he's rested. Gone are the days when we had fewer trades and we had to wait to squeeze every last dollar out of our cash cows before we traded them

Ginbey is still projected to rise another 50k across the next 3 weeks. Could be more if he keeps up his high output. That is a lot of money to be thrown away. If you have bench cover, just use them for the week and keep Ginbey in my opinion.

I know that is the right thing to do but I want Clarry now!

I agree, I don't thinks Davey will make too much where it'll ruin my season. He's got another 50k Max, he's likely out this week too.
50k is plenty. Anyone you trade in needs to make 150k on top of what Davey makes to be worth it. Getting 120-130k downgrading a rookie is typically a lot more valuable for one up one down type upgrading than getting 70k now.

Doc > Someone

My defense needs some help (Or at least a GC campaigner to be named)

anyone see a magic cure?

Trade Doch to Redman and pray your defence rookies keep getting games. Or Constable returns.

Other option is Doch to Hanyes and Uwland/Constable to Michalanney.
